Shovel Knight. One of the boss characters has an expansion where this shitty backer character named Reize is the final boss. Normally he's just someone you meet on the overworld map.

I'll be the one to say it: Tobyfox did a surprisingly good job with So Sorry. He looks like he fits in the universe and his fight and dialogue are decent.

The Ghosts is for Hollow Knight. Some backer-designed ghosts can be found in normal gameplay, while others are all quarantined in this tiny optional area. Plus, hidden in a secret part of that tiny optional area is where they stuffed all the "backer messages" that was another reward tier.

Honestly, as bad as So Sorry is, Toby did a pretty good job at redesigning him to not be so disgusting. He's honestly pretty cute when you refoght him and he wears the jester hat or beret instead of the shitty fedora.
It's pretty funny, because Samael himself tired to do a mockup of how it'd look if So Sorry had a shop in Undertale, and he gave SS moobs and fat rolls and bags under his eyes, which made him look infinitely worse. Nearly every depiction of So Sorry not made by Samael looks better than the ones his creator made, which has gotta be insulting for him on an artistic level.
At least, it'd be insulting for me, anyways.

Also, I love how Undertale's 3 backer fights work like a sliding scale of "how to make a character for a kickstarter". You've got muffet on the high end, So Sorry on the low end, and Glyde in the "It's okay but really forgettable" middle.

See, I thought that at first, then I realized what happened.
See, Samael does commisions on Furaffinity. When Undertale came out, he began doing commisions for undertale battle mockups using whatever characters you wanted (usually fursonas, of course).
These commisions more than made back the money he spent on getting the character in, assuming he only spent the $1000 and not some other insanely high number.
The image you posted was not his autistic rant. That came about half a year later, I think. (Your image was posted right around the time he started taking the commisions) (((((Coincidentally))))), the time he posted the meltdown was around the time the undertale battle commsions had begun dying off.
Basucally, Samael was trying to drum up business by starting drama with Toby and attracting attention to the game. Thankfully, combined with the fact that his actual rant contradicted the post he made in your image and the fact that Toby handled his bullshit really professionally, it didn't work.

TL;DR Samael used his fursona being in the game to make dosh off furries and started whining when the money began running dry.
