A big group of upgraded cuirassiers will steamroll just about anything.

I love the way brawlers swing back and forth while attacking their targets, haven't really seen any other game do that

Scorched Earth baby

Ahwassa instead in case this doesn't count.

KIROV REPORTING

>He doesn't like nukes.
Come on, user.

Yeah, they were pretty amazing, even if the core version shit on them in A2A combat

Remember WC3 castercraft? I liked that legitimately more than patched WC3.

>You'll never hear ten "The dead shall serve" in a row, again.

Si?

Good taste, friend.

>WiC 2 never ever
Whoever at Ubisoft made Massive make The Division deserves to die in a hellfire

bigdaddy

Yes?

the aesthetic
the voice acting
the not feeling bad for throwing them at the enemy and watching them get butchered because they're brainwashed terrorist fucks

>Remember WC3 castercraft? I liked that legitimately more than patched WC3.
Remember when RTS was about armies fighting armies, or support units supporting armies... instead of heroes duking it out with armies supporting them or heroes going alone against enemy heroes?
it sure was a nice genre.

In a way, I wish WC3 never existed so the cancerous idea of 'heroes' never even got started.

this, I just love those rockets

That big fucking spider mech thing in SupCom. Monkeylord, I think.

this

they're fairly weak nowadays but I still like them. plus mark target and maphack abilities are goat

arm had all the best units

I mean Fatboys are killer as hell but they lose 1v1 against every single other Experimental unit.

That map was a nightmare fuel, I had no idea what I should expect.
>Ok it's probably going to be some kind of a big tank, not that a big deal.

*blocks your path

>play vanilla CNC3 for first time

Very close second

Petsuchos from Age of Mythology.

Monkeylord best experimental
Monkeylord best unit
Cybran best faction

Eat shit Cuckbrans.

most RTS units can be classed as resource gatherer, or infantry, or vehicle (land, water air) or building. "support" is a special class which is usually non-combat, like medic or mechanic or engineer.
"heroes" would logically be a super-unit of their respective class.

super infantry and super vehicle - the experimentals from Supreme Commander, or Tanya from Red Alert, or even just higher tiers of the same unit like in Age of Empires.

super building - any kind of building that provides you with something like a "nuke" or other timer-based ability. it doesn't need to be directly combative either; a "wonder" from age of empires is a super-building because it starts your conditional win timer.

a super-support unit is a rarer kind, but i think all the "spellcasters" from the WarCraft and StarCraft series could count. you start with a simple support unit, and then through upgrades get a super-support unit.

the problem with the idea of "heroes" comes in when you try to combine too many types and subtypes together. you get this disgustingly bloated figure (with HP to match) with too many abilities and superiorities, and not enough faults.
the fact you can pseudo-RPG your heroes with their stats and inventory in WC3 doesn't help either.

the right way for heroes is C&C's way:
"this is still an infantry unit; don't be dumb and get crushed, or shot with a machinegun, or blown up by artillery, or..."

They may not be the most powerful (unless you're using them to clear garrisons or molest the infantry general) but I will always love the deranged voice actor.

The mobile factory is so much better.
>Brings a comparable amount of firepower
>Can generate a massive army on the go and allows existing armies to adapt based on what is currently needed

...

user Monkeylords flatten Fatboys in a matter of seconds and no MASSIVE army is going to be built quickly and on top of that is has to come to a stop in order to build at all.
The Monkeylord will also flatten most armies it encounters.

You're forgetting that the monkeylord costs considerably less resources to produce and can wreck the shit of a fatboy in a 1v1 as long as it's close enough to use it's laser. The stealth it has by default helps too.

This

THIS IS THE OVERLORD TANK

you don't use fatboys to 1v1 you use them as shelling support to bomb the fuck outta your enemies and they are great at it.

...

>oneshots ur capital ships
nothin personnel kid ;)

user you don't get to make a post talking about how it has a comparable amount of fire power when it doesn't and expect the conversation NOT to be about the two units going at it.

Fatboys excel at demolishing fortifications and are merely good at anything else they might do, but not great.
In fact they make better PD than they do mobile attack units.

>randomly explode into your base via subterranean APC
>4 shot your MCV
>2 shot your power plants
>1 shot everything else
>finally destroy me
>the upper half of my body survives
>one shots the rest of your army
>also heals inside of tiberium

Tiberium Sun had more strategy than most strategy games.

Hiwis had a legit hard life.

why are you using a long range factory land battleship to 1v1 experimentals

>The Black Hand has arrived
KANE LIVES IN DEATH

Hello hello

This is probably the most situational unique unit in the game, but it's hilarious when your opponent is using trash units

I know the Kol is considered one of the weakest capitals but goddamn it looks cool.

Step back pleb

...

fatboys are used not as a direct fire combat unit but like mobile artillery. you bombard enemy positions from long range and slowly move forward while defending the fatboy with a bunch of other units.

you can also kite other land experimentals because you outrange all of them by quite a lot. just make sure you have radar coverage to make use of your range, and have air control to protect against strat bombers.

WE IZ DA SHOOTIEST

I played it recently and the only thing going through my mind was WE WUZ

...

Inejirek

Necron scum

40K Orks are based on British hooligans from the 1980's.

no doubt but still the BOIZ was too hard to pass on WE WUZ

>played an old rts for the ps1
>can't remember name
>can barely remember what it looked like
>know for a fact it wasn't any c&c game

I think you could rotate the camera and I remember white tanks or something and maybe space themed

Funny enough, wasn't the AoE III we got intended to be a spin-off initially?

Fuck your shit

Best factions in RTS Games to spam basic units and overrun enemies? Besides zerg

>not marder

UEF can do that pretty well if your micro is good.

So you're chilling in your terran planet when this guy warps into your gravity field and slaps your fleets ass.
What do?

Imperial Guard (but you have to upgrade them and add officers to them)

...

Basically any T1 land spam in supcom is good, although i would say UEF has an advantage with fucking everything

Man CoH1 was so fucking Axis bias, Hetzer's where ridiculously powerful

BIG GUNS
READY TO FIRE

>advantage
>not seraphim
lol only plebs that dont understand how op they re say this

...

They are like BRs but a little more clever

Not only did it look cool, it actually mattered; that behavior reduced the chance of getting hit with slow-moving projectiles like ballistics and rockets because TA didn't have bullshit hitscan weapons.

>t.compstomper
I hope you're not fucking serious, hetzers were mediocre at best

My nigger, too bad they were stuck in such a shitty doctrine

The only advantage Seph has is in T2 with Illshova spam being amazing

>tank destroyer that loses to a sherman
>ridiculously powerful

Not enjoying the non-stop hymn of
>we've got the rockets!
>fighters arm up!
