I linked that in the other thread because I want to find out. I deleted TF2 and am running a malwarebytes scan now. Now I don't believe it because I couldn't even connect to the server (rejected password or connection failed)

if you had actually read the entire steam thread, you'd know that he got malware not by downloading it directly from the game server, but by manually following a link posted in the console by the server.

I haven't heard of any actual malware being downloaded directly from a game server since gmodlau and all that did was make you spam chairs until the server crashed while pasting this link in chat:

Whoever keeps doing these threads I'm gonna ask to cease because I'm gonna close it for good, or at least give the control to my techguy and let him do whatever he wants with it. It was a try to revive the party van from scratch but this experiment it's crashing with no survivors, some people just don't want us to have nice things; we got russian bank samefag, other leaked the server to lmaobox discord, we are getting ddos attacks constantly and now we have fags like this who links the original party van from ten years ago that is dead and tells that is "muh virus", when this server doesn't even have MOTD to open external files/browse outside hl2.exe. The game itself doesn't have the power to do jackshit in your computer unless you are playing a pirate version downladed from a somalian silk worm farming forum. It wouldn't surprise me that all of this is from the same faggot it doesn't matter anymore, we tried and failed. I hope that after this at least leads to the repopulation of the original party van, If we couldn't start it from scratch at least have the decency to populate the old one that was dead for years.
If anyone stills wanna join and play in our server, good for them, but expect high-as-fuck latency because of ddos, even more to americans and aussies because it's hosted in the fucking Netherlands. I will not gonna attend any more feedback because it seems futile and I just don't have time anymore. Server's gonna be up at least until the techguy goes back online to tell him my decision.
