Literally how? You would have to be actively trying to lose.

Spelunky is the only one I can remember at the moment.

life

>dad was a chad
>mom was a stacy
>I still turned out to be a social retard and complete loser
how? how in the fuck?

Hard? None
Boring? Gravity Rush

Happened to me too. It wasn't even on hard.

Never quit a game because it was too hard

but I did quit conflict vietnam because it's boring as fuck and I hate third person shooters

do people actually browse leddit?
it's a literal meme website with nothing to do or discuss because of the karma system

DMC 1

I quit Team Fortress 2 because the campaign was brutal

because when i google a problem and add reddit at the end, i will fix it 100%

i came close to quitting god of war because of that stupid fucking spike room puzzle

Super Meat Boy in the later insane stages
I was never good with the slippery controls of the game to begin with and they just fucked me over

tera, i guess
the game made everything super super easy to level, so it got me used to playing one way but the moment you hit level cap and it throws you into real stuff you're woefully unprepared
i honestly had no idea what i was doing wrong or how to improve so i just quit. it wasn't really worth the effort when the erp was bad anyway

I quit Dante's Inferno because of those Purgatory rooms at the end. The game already dipped hard in quality and I was pretty fucking over it.

Posting funny comments for upbotes.
Seriously though, karma system is a fucking cancer that turns everything into criticism-free echo chambers.

pathologic :(

Every Total War game, I literally cant do shit in those and im pretty good at RTS. I can do early battles with like 5-10 units but when this shit gets to 40v40 + reinforcments every battle is a clusterfuck and I have no control over it. I tried playing the latest warhammer total war and this was the first time I actually completed a campaign in one of those games, but I didnt fight a single time, all of them were auto-battles. Am I really a casul Sup Forums?

its 204 places above Sup Forums in traffic, so obviously you fucking spastic

First time I played Crusader Kings 2 I loaded myself up as King of Scotland at the earliest point in time without having the Old Gods DLC. Needless to say, I got my ass thrashed so hard and so fast that the game gave me the title "The Unready". So I quit. As in, I quit being a fag and learned how to play

I guess nate ain't so great after all

Furi @ the hand

dota

group your units together

i generally dont like turn based games
dont remember droping any game for being too difficult

It depends on your clan. IIRC Takeda is brutal if you pick them after only having done the tutorial.

If you don't care enough to get better at a hard game chances are you weren't going to like it anyway.

I quit Dark Souls twice before finally managing to git gud.
First time I beat the tutorial no problem, ran straight ahead into skele-land, and died about 10 times, looked around, found a mace, killed all the little skellies outside the catacombs, then died to respawning skelltals. Ragequit hard there.
Second time, I figured out where to go, fought my way to the Taurus Demon, died repeatedly, and quit again because I was a sorcerer and hated everything.
I hope this isn't real

I do battles but then I quit and reload and autoresolve them because the autoresolve is better than me.

>First time I beat the tutorial no problem, ran straight ahead into skele-land
Do you mind explaining your thought process on that one? I've never understood how you can do it.

>Banished
Those fucking villagers are never satisfied and all end up dying

>"hurr durr i can't finish an rpg at level 1"
>"hurr durr hardest game evre"

No shit sherlock.

>20.000 hours

thats nearly three years of constant playing
impressive

>2.5 years of literally playing dota

i don't think that's possible brochowski

It's what you first see when you land, and the guy says there's a bell above and a bell below. I'm not sure where I'm going so I go for what I see as below. I didn't even notice the stairs the first time.
I'm not sure what you're trying to say. I did beat it you mong.

Not him but generally Dark Souls retarded reputation convinces people that the skeletons, which are usually weak ass early game enemies in other games, that it is how it is plus after talking to Crestfallen and told they need to go up and down they take the path that is going downward, the cemetary.
I quit Dark Souls my first time 'cause I reached the golden gate in the Tomb of the Giants and couldn't escape. In too deep, DGH and armour is heavy, skeletons keep kicking me off into the void.

It takes 10,000 hours to become a master at something.

Instead of mastering an instrument or a skill, you've spent nearly twice that on an awful game.

and I am only 20 :^)

Ninja gaiden black took me forever to git gud at.

I am only 5k mmr so I quit

>hurr durr i can't finish an rpg at level 1
youtube.com/watch?v=1k3FvJD9Rc8

God Hand.
I was considering using save states but thought fuck it, i'll just hope that I get better/more patient.
Maybe I'll be able to beat it when I'm in retirement in 70 years.

Aw I thought this was the video of that game where you can punch the villain of the game in the starting village and all the villagers gang up on him

i'm at 5.7k after 2 hours and you'd be surprised how many people here have like 20k-25k hours clocked in
do they just play every waking hour of the day or is half of that time just idling

some people like me do play 15 games a day everyday, yeah

From your first time launching dota 2 it is literally impossible to get 5.7k mmr

Gave up on LISA at some Hair boss. It was pretty much impossible to beat, even when I used firebombs, they always one-hit one of my team members, and I'd end up in an infinite loop of healing and dying.

La Mulana. Explored every nook, whipped every suspicious object. Everywhere is a dead end. After 2 hours of the same 30 second music loop I'd had enough.

i forgot to wrote the k after 2
woops

>Reddit
Aside from that, at least this person isn't a faggot and trying to get the developers to change anything. They just realized something wasn't for them and fucked off.

Doom

Chads and stacys are shit people and make shitty things.

Two Worlds II?

Definitely Superman 64. I got to level 3-4 back in the day and I was just like fuck this shit. few games as unforgiving and unfun as Superman 64.

I was talking about new players that never level up and cry about the game being too hard, i was not referring to the guy who beat ludwig ng7 with his fists only

It's one of the few places you can find an alive community for smaller games many years after the release.

Yeah that must be it, still hilarious.

I don't quit hard games, I quit boring ones.

PS2 Shinobi final boss.
It still keeps me up at night sometimes.

It's the first game
youtube.com/watch?v=5NeR-bT3uv0

dark souls 2, even after completing ds1 and 3. i just couldnt beat the dragonrider.

It's Two Worlds 1 actually. I don't think there's any skip for TW2

Dark Souls. It's simply too hardcore for me! It's still the best game this generation, just very, very hard!

If you aren't a casual like me, and consider yourself a true hardcore gamer, buy it today! Git gud and prepare to die!

Armored core Last Raven on ps2
I was 13 when I played it and I couldn't git gud, all those piloted ac handled my ass.

Monster Hunter Freedom Unite

There is not a single good Video Tutorial out there explaining how to start

XCOM

All of them.

>Suguri

Just fuck me. I can't even beat Suguri on easy mode even though I managed to beat Sora and get all the achievements.

I like hard. I don't like frustrating. Nier is a good example of the second. Being mobbed by 30 enemies completely immune to hit-stun and dying in literally two hits is certainly very difficult, but it's not fun in the slightest. As such, I quit a few hours in.

Everyone says that but I breezed through LR. Zinaida was a joke once you learn to fuck up the stage bullshit beforehand.
2AA was fuck you incarnate.
Make high DEF armor go SnS first then branch out to what's comfortable. They give you ALL of them for a reason it's just that SnS is there ease you in. Learn monster patterns. Each monster is a fucking BOSS not an ENEMY so learn their shit and what weapons will be effective. Once you beat a monster take their guts to the armorer and look at their resistances. Gypceros is weak as fuck to fire so now you know to bring a fire weapon to fuck him up. Shit like that.

It's not super complicated until you go full TA autist it just takes time.

La mulana

Was about to post this.

i honestly didn't quit any.
I quit dark souls 2 because it became a boring slog after the big smelter demon, and i quit dark souls because it was even more boring.
Other than that, i usually force myself through.
Almost threw my 3ds on Minotaur fight in SMT IV though.

Stephen's Sausage Roll

Bought this on the sale, refunded after 30 minutes. It's a complete clusterfuck. I'm honestly surprised that the rating is so good, the mechanics and UI are a complete mess.

*double perfects you from the edge of the screen*

I quit Cave Story at hell.

>do people actually browse the front page of the internet? i just don't know, my brain doesn't have enough conclusive evidence that one of the most traffic-heavy forums in existence actually has people on it

I quit Cave Story at hell.

Shame, it's got a pretty solid final boss.

Darkest Dungeon

Your parents were shit people so probably shit parents. You tend to find that "cool kid" parents don't produce kids because they're too self-absorbed to understand how to look after anything else.

It faces you in that direction. You have no knowledge of how non-linear the game is, so you just assume to go the way the game has faced you.

When you get to the Skeletons, you see that they're difficulty enemies to beat because of your shit equipment and skill as a player, and thus assume "Wow, the internet was right. Dark Souls is hard" and you don't assume you're going the wrong way

Eventually you learn to run past them since killing them is a chore, and when you get to the Catacombs, you die pretty much instantly to everything.

Soon enough though, you return to the bonfire at the start and notice stairs in the background you can climb. Although, you'd have to be a pretty patient person to get this far and not quit.

You couldn't beat Men's Hair Club? That's an odd place to get stuck. Why didn't you just use Joy? Joy is literally easy mode pills, that's why you don't get a good ending if you use them.

I don't understand what some of you people think Reddit is. Even a casual glance at any given post would show you they are like 90% normal boring-ass people with completely average and predictable reactions to mundane shit, just like Sup Forums.

Man tera was fun

>start ganking right after I got into that lumbermill camp (second hub)
>get known on my server since I spent all day waiting on the bridge and camping people
>constantly declare war with my 1 man guild and win against the big guilds since I gank their twinks
>they get so salty they split their guilds into a main part and a twink part

It's nothing like Sup Forums. My God, there's such a different atmosphere. It's like Reddit is one huge normie pool soaked in passive-aggression and smugness, while here -- I know we have this stupid meme that Sup Forums is always shit, that everyone hates fun, but we DON'T. Everything's so clear, and clean. You can say what you want without fear of the hive-mind burying you. In fact, getting (You)s is an achievement.

But you're right that they're just normal, boring people.

I never got past the giant butterfly boss in Shinobi as a kid. They also make you fight her on a little island surrounded by lava and shit. Could never get past it.

EA Battlefront 2015. I tried to get into it but I could not see or hit shit while playing. The fucking tokens, the shitty flying the low as fuck ttk, zero healing. Fuck that game and fuck dice.

Yeah it's a good place for niche stuff. Large subreddits and official ones are all laughably terrible communities but ok as tools for collating news and information.

Most normal boring ass people are considered SJWs by this board.

>one huge normie pool soaked in passive-aggression and smugness
that's modern Sup Forums in a nutshell which you are sorta proving with your own post

>that everyone hates fun, but we DON'T
could have fooled me dude.

>Everything's so clear, and clean.
yeah wasn't it totally awesome the other day, when the mods were gone for a couple of hours and we were immediately swamped with literal CP and trash? don't you love the almost-daily racemixing threads about women getting blacked with porn all over the catalog?

>You can say what you want without fear of the hive-mind burying you. In fact, getting (You)s is an achievement.
both the idea that Sup Forums doesn't reinforce opinion conformity, and the idea that shitposting for (you)s is something as lofty as an "achievement", these are laughably untrue

I'm going to attempt to describe the gameplay for you guys because I doubt anyone here took a look at it.

The screen is basically divided in 2 halves. The left half has a bejeweled-type grid that you use to gain resources. You line up 4 of the same elements and you get resources, combos give more, the usual deal.
Additionally you can buy floors for your dungeon with those resources.

On the right side you have a view of your dungeon, with your villain being at the very bottom. So you buy these floors and staff them with monsters, so that the incoming heroes don't reach your villain.

You have almost no control over battles, you can just drag units around, but it doesn't really make any difference. It's incredibly hard to tell if a unit is one of your own or one of the hero enemies unless you hover over them (which you don't have any time for). Sure, if your dungeon is staffed by little green goblins, it's easy enough. Once you get Mercenaries and shit that look like standard humans you'll constantly wonder if that thing is an enemy or not.

Then you have quests at the top of the screen. These are randomized and completely ridiculous, like "don't use any bone resources". Now, what does that actually mean? Does that mean you're not allowed to get these resources through the bejeweled grid or that you're not allowed to buy floors/units that cost bones? I don't know because I already have to focus my attention on both halves of the screen below and can't actually check what caused me to fail that particular quest. Not to mention that they all have ridiculous timers attached to them.

There's a tutorial in this game, but it's completely useless. The game basically throws you into a normal game and just shows popups about shit that isn't relevant to you right now. Imagine baking a cake and the recipe lists the instructions out of order. Adding to that is the horrendous reddit tier humor with :D smileys in the fucking tutorial text.

I don't like this game.

God Hand. I just don't like the controls and the camera is too close to you.

Dark Souls. Bought it on sale knowing I most likely wouldn't like it, but wanted to give it a shot anyways because no one shuts up about it. Got to the two gargoyle fight and stopped. I don't find constantly dying or worrying about dying fun, and then having to go back and get the stuff you lost or losing it permanently if you die yet again on the way there. I'm bad at games so I die more than normal so it's just a shitshow for me

>that's modern Sup Forums
No it isn't.
>which you're sorta proving with your own post
Explain yourself, or never insult me again.
>yeah wasn't it totally awesome the other day, when the mods were gone for a couple of hours and we were immediately swamped with literal CP and trash? don't you love the almost-daily racemixing threads about women getting blacked with porn all over the catalog?
Never seen it, but I don't post Burger time. The worst is like, one thread, and only sometimes. And that's not so bad. It's much, much better than the shitfest that is Reddit.

Honestly it kinda seems like you've never been on Reddit. I don't blame you, but you can't compare two things if you've never seen one of them.

nice honeytrap i like it, will copypaste in other threads

Not an argument.

>traffic
>equaling people
double spastic

Prinny: Can I Really Be the Hero
The stiff jumping, slow walk speed, and an insane amount of knockback made every death feel like it wasn't really my fault. Which is a shame because I liked everything else about it.
