Why was this games multiplayer so good? I had countless hours of fun shoot-dodging on fools and trying to unlock all the weapons, and can't really think of a shooter since that was nearly as fun.
And why wasn't GTAV's gunplay nearly as good as this game, which came out before by the same publisher?
Any chance for a sequel?
Max Payne thread, I suppose.

Games like this are why I no longer buy games based on a franchise, or bother to play games in order. MP 1 and 2 are easily my favourite tos games, and some of my favourites or all time. This was barely related garbage.
Leo Allen
This is a numale opinion. MP3 was fucking great and 1 and 2 are overrated, with 2 being easy and casual as fuck. Kill yourself
Nicholas Thomas
Sorry dude, but you're wrong. It may not have had the same corny noir aesthetic as the first 2 (or at least not to the same degree), but the game play and gunplay were superior. I loved the first 2 as well but 3 is the better game.

>And why wasn't GTAV's gunplay nearly as good as this game, which came out before by the same publisher? The studio that made Max Payne 3 closed down from memory
Ian Parker
I disagree because the level design and pacing was far worse.
Bullet time was handled worse as well.

it ruins the flow of the game and YOU canNOT deny this

The multiplayer was good because it was a ripoff of the old Half Life mod The Specialists. TS is still a far superior game though.
Jaxson Barnes
Yes, the story was lackluster, but you can't deny MP3's gameplay mechanics are the strongest in the series. I think it might be the best TPS in existence.
Levi Fisher
too bad the levels are shit and there's too many cutscenes that break it up
John Baker
they implemented the bullet time mechanic in stunningly there was nothing more tense than edging round a corner only to get stuck in someone's slowmo and do your best to turn around and get him before he gets you
fuck, rockstar just re-release MP3 on current gen would play full price for a busy server one more time
Benjamin Reyes
omega confirmed

Fair enough. It has been awhile since I've played them all so I don't remember how the pacing compares, I just remember playing the fuck out of 3's multiplayer on the 360, and that the guns felt awesome and had great detail and animation.
I did however play the survival mode on 2 an embarrassing amount. It was literally The Matrix.
Aiden Young
Agreed. I'd buy it full price with a graphical clean up, and play the fuck out of it all over again. Such a badass game.
Brody Sanchez
mp3 is the only good game in the series, the first two were casual babby garbage

I know you're using hyperbole for (YOU)'s, but you're either underaged b& or a retard if you actually think that. Max Payne 1 was an innovative and well made game at the time, and both 1 and 2 were not easy unless you save scummed, and even then there were some tough firefights.

>he prefers the console focused prequels to the pc focused sequel
this is how i know youre a plebe

>mfw they ever remake MP 1 and 2 using 3's graphics
Story in 3 was meh, but that's Rockstar for you >still mad that they literally reduced Mona into a throwaway line I just wanted MP2 'secret' ending to be canon
