It's definitely Kamiya's last good game

If you don't have it already, there's an accessory that let's you block attacks by flicking the analog stick in the direction of an enemy right before an attack (a little bit like Metal Gear Rising). This is basically necessary when you can't use witch time.

That's why I used Rosa for my first playthrough

Also Rosa is probably my favorite playstyle, combos, feel, and weight of Bayonetta 1 Bayo but those fucking pistol shots are so satisfying, and being able to use her Mech for her Umbran Climax is amazing

Bayonetta is a bad copy of DMC3 and I can't fathom how anyone can dispute that.

Except DMC3 did it all better. Also:
-Most of the music is some random pop songs instead of full of drive, edgy tracks that dmc offers
-A lot of the enemies follow the same theme of white angels, which was also true for dmc with its demons but they were more meaningfully different and there were a ton of non-demon enemies too
-Cutscenes try to be CRAYZEH, but a lot of the time fall short
-Half of the game is made out of movie-style "on film" static images, that is just fucking pathetic and completely breaks the flow and any atmosphere it could have. It's very clear that Platinum didn't have budget/time to make proper cutscenes, and instead of cutting them and replacing it with something meaningful and worthwhile, decided to go for the worst cutscene implementation I have only ever seen in any videogame
-Overall combat system is just not as fun and polished, you can basically play with any weapon and that's not because they are all equally balanced and useful, but because there is no fucking difference between them and it just doesn't matter what you use
-The screen is constantly cluttered with visual garbage, at times it can be difficult to discern what is even happening at any given moment. DMC was pretty much always clear and you always knew what was going on with very little unnecessary visual effects
-DMC3 bosses vary from mediocre to fucking great, and the balance is pretty skewed towards the latter with only a couple of outliers. None of the Bayo bosses are really above mediocre
Kamiya is a hack, people praising Bayo over DMC are style over substence.

Nope, the witch time sound is fixed in 1.8.1, the only bug is the cutscenes sometimes fuck sound/visual up a bit, the audio is just desynced so no ear rape, it's perfectly playable.
I think some areas for a little bit at the start have some graphical glitches, but that's only a few times throughout the entire game so it doesn't really matter.
Performance is really good too, I'm getting very good fps even with a pretty old cpu

Does poison damage, so on top of low hit damage it can deal some pretty good poison damage if you learn how to git gud and stack it.

I like using this weapon on the human boss fights so I don't have to risk getting too close to those dodging, parrying assholes.

Nope, I suggest downloading the fitgirl repack and replacing the cemu folder with the new 1.8.1 release.
Then just map controller controls and you're set.

Bayo 2 sounds like its coming to Switch, so that's certainly better than buying a Wii U to play it at least.

Worked out in the end I guess. Still kind of weird owning a game I don't have the system for. I was going to get a Wii U somewhere down the line but then the Switch happened. It was worth it since I hadn't played either game before and was going off fear of scalpers mainly to pick it up.
