The artist owned the art of the game instead of the team leader and when they broke up the art was unusable so the game died. Essentially stealing hundreds of thousands of dollars of patreon donations.
Now the artist is making a second game thats similar.

Artist took all his assets and money, silently switched to another project with them. Could do so because devs were shit at writing contracts.

The artist jumped ship after he made enough money and took the rights to almost everything with him iirc.

Whole concept of patreon to pay for a game is stupid. Crowd funding campaigns at least make some sense as they have some tangible product, some sort of release date.

Patreon is just paying people to exist and work on a game. Does not mean anything will ever get released.

Steam isnt selling porn games, so its either patreon or no game at all.

Crowd funding should never be used to actually make a game, it should be used to get a finished game into circulation.

I'm pretty sure Patreon isn't supposed to allow sexually explicit content either, but considering it's a San Fran company run by SJWs with massive double standards it's not a surprise that certain projects are conveniently ignored.

Don't forget that every single gender, form and species combination had unique art and animation, leading to a gigantic list of assets (female feral harpy × loli catgirl). There was absolutely no way they could have finished this, especially at their work rate and their habit of wasting time on event animations and npc sex scenes.
