I don't have enough words to express how much I love this game. Everyone should give it a try

If you want people to give the game a try, then explain what the fuck it is. Even the wiki page for it doesn't tell you shit.

Every moment is a plot twist, so I can't say much about the game except the beginning.

The protagonist is a normal guy called Eike Kusch, who lives in a small german town called Lebensbaum. Right at the beginning of the game, he gets killed while taking a walk, and wokes up in a dark limbo with giant furniture and broken statues, and a giant closed door. He hears a deep voice telling him that he is dead, and offers him a new chance at life, to travel in time and stop his killer from ever murdering him. However, as soon as you do it and stop him, the protagonist dies in a different way. So, he must travel through various time periods and do everything possible to stop his fated death. It has a LOT of alchemy allusions, and basically the whole game is inspired by Goethe's Faust

What is the actual gameplay like?

Mostly it's puzzle-solving. There are 9 different endings, and as you travel through game you can make changes that are very noticeable once you go to another time (for example, you can talk to one of the characters from the past and convince him to turn his house into a library instead of a museum).

There aren't as many choices as a Telltale game, for example, but the difference is that while Telltale games gives you thousands of different options, at the end of the game you get at best three different endings, and there are less than 10 choices that actually define the ending you get. Shadow of Destiny has a lot more.

Alright, sounds good. Thanks for providing info.

>The homunculus is voiced by Mario

I'll never get over this

His voice in the game is great

where can i play this?

two days in a row what is happening here?

Does the PC version work on modern machines or should I emulate the PS2 version?

i had trouble with the pc version so i just emulated

Sadly, the PC version doesn't work. You should probably emulate the PS2 version, but the PSP one is easier to

Threadly reminder that Hugo did nothing wrong

psp version, no please stop

Did this game creep the fuck out of anyone else? I played this with my brother and we were both totally freaked out by just everything about it. The atmosphere was really great.

unfortunately last time I wanted to emulate it (on PSP), the game kept crashing at the beginning of chapter 4. Don't know if the iso was corrupted or something. I really want to play it again though. I really loved it back then.

where the fuck is a game download

The game definitely nailed it in the atmosphere department. The soundtrack helped a lot in that regard.

I forever lament knowing there will never be beautiful high-quality versions of the different staff rolls. I blame Konami for this.

emuparadise

The ending where the Homunculus summons a demon is one of my favorites. Damn Hugo.

Well, I can't find the PS2 version to download, only the PSP one. Weirdly, the one in Emuparadise never finishes downloading

A remake would be great. 3D modelling is a hobby of mine, so some time ago I modeled the limbo room where you first meet Homunculus. I might make more someday

>lol time paradox 3deep5u the game

go play it first

got any pic of that model?

don't do that to yourself

Welp, I thought I had finished it. Might do it soon though

Not bad user

That's the appeal. It's so fucking stupid that it's fun snark bait

And there's no real gameplay, so it's pretty easy to beat
