Daily reminder that once the Switch is cracked it will be the best console of all time OF ALL TIME!

one patch

just don't update LMAO

>don't update a three month console OS from now on out
seriously, kek

With a kernel exploit it would be easy to spoof the firmware

bump for truth

>Switch

lmao, nice try

It's a great console already. Homebrew will only make it better.

Hope it's more like three years away from true piracy so we can actually get some third party support now that the Switch is the hottest console in the public's eye.

Im scared to homebrew it when its released, what are the odds of the console bricking or getting a dick shoved up my ass by Nintendo?

This desu
Don't see why people want CFW so soon, that'll just kill 3rd party interest in the console and kill an otherwise awesome device

>Console gets cracked
>Pirates download all the free games they can get including shit ones like Vroom in the Night Sky and Super Bomberman R
>Purposefully ignore games like Breath of the Wild, Splatoon 2, Odyssey and other top tier games
>"Heh, what a shit library the Switch has"
You know it's going to happen.

It's never worth installing homebrew the second it comes out. As far as Nintendo's response goes, the worst case scenario is they prevent you from using online services

Is the Switch really on its way to get cracked or are people just memeing

i see, what about bricking? the console being hard to find plus myself living in SA makes my Switch too precious to me.

Eh, I'll wait for the revision

>Don't see why people want CFW so soon, that'll just kill 3rd party interest in the console and kill an otherwise awesome device

Just like CFW killed the Wii, DS, 3DS, PS3 and about every popular device?

Usually homebrew guides will give you an appraisal of how difficult it is to brick your console. Since it hasn't been cracked yet no one can say exactly how risky it it. Personally I hacked my 3ds and Wii U (including the VWii) and nothing has gone wrong.

Nigtendrones lack long term planning which is highly associated with IQ. They don't care if they spend the rest of the Switch's life playing nothing but BOTW.

no nintendont = no point
might as well buy a wii u

Switch is focusing on online multiplayer experiences atm. When online becomes a paid service it'll serve as a detractor

Hey. Want to see something better than op's thread?

Yes Tails, what is it?

But my psp can emulate enough stuff and lasts longer than 3 hours and is more comfy to hold.

Though i do want more arcade and 3D games that the psp struggles to run, hopefully they make a better battery at least.

Holy shit this is perfect, I'd buy this in a heartbeat.

I want to play Doom with Joycons.
But I don't have a console and don't really want to buy it unless it will be really cheap.
I guess I will buy it from hands later.

Switch doesn't have any good exclusives. Pic related.

Say please, user.

Keep waiting forever nerd

How's Has-Been Heroes?

>Nintendo will probably lock all their old games behind a monthly subscription, Virtual Console is in the trash now
>cfw and get all those old games for free on Switch
hurry up and crack this thing, I don't plan on playing online with it anyway now that there's no MH for it and Pokemon will probably be 3v3 trash again

A hacked Switch will be god-tier if:
>the cracks are wide enough that all later games can be played
>updates can be blocked easily by configuring the DNS properly
>a way to spoof going online without paying for it and/or a way to set up custom servers is made
>they put GC and Wii emulation on the VC since it can't be natively done like on Wii U

please, dont

Not hacking this shit until 1+ year have passed.

Once nintendo consoles get hacked it opens the floodgates for future hacks for some reason. The ps3 hacking scene stopped cold after 3.55 and Vita after 3.60.

I remember i kept updating my wiiu and 3ds even after cfws and i still managed to hack it just fine.

>Maybr
>Definitely
>No
>No

Please Tails, please!

wow

my library looks like that too thanks to gamestops FREE MONEY WEEKEND!

what are those nipnip games tho? or is it just digital shit that got retail releases over there?

>online services
people got around Sony's and MS's antipiracy to still play online with no actual risk of getting banned if you followed certain precautions
Nintendo has always been less secure than them

needs circle pads instead of sticks

I'd be happy about the OLED screen and proper D-pad use...but symmetrical analog sticks only work for detached single joy-con play.

And this will never happen. Nintendo is sticking to their guns this is a hybrid console.

>D-Pad
Yes, please

Left Joy-con still needs the buttons for the whole multiplayer gimmick. Sticking a D-pad in the middle and keeping the buttons is the best of both worlds.

Please no.

This. I think the thing that got people caught in that huge banwave on 3DS was the fact that some people played homebrew/injected titles without turning off their Wi-Fi switch.

we still don't know the fucking cause, stop saying anything that might as well be added to the rumor mill.

i don't think we will EVER know what caused it to get them.

t. i have been playing with my shit offline since last year and got banned just jumping on to check to see if i was banned.

Have you used the unban method yet? I got caught in the wave, unbanned myself with a public seed (which I know has a high chance of getting banned later but I can just jump to a different seed if it happens, and even if all public seeds dry up I'm no worse than I started) and I've been able to play online just fine since.

>"stop saying people got banned for going online, you don't know if it's true"
>gets banned for going online to see if he's banned

I know it's a lot of buttons and that simplicity can be very important when it comes to accessibility, but I do wish that they were arranged a bit more like this or something.

They are fine and mostly comfortable right now, though. Luckily if a different arrangement of buttons comes out, you can just buy new Joycon and slide them on

Has there ever actually been a portable system where people thought there were too many buttons? It's like Nintendo was afraid they'd put too many controls on 3DS for example but when did people actually ever have this problem?
