>Elite Dangerous, but you can land on any planet and roam around with Warframe movement/combat.

What would you even do on the planets even with Warframe movement?

I'm basiclly just picturing Warframe when landed, Elite Dangerous when in space. (But the Warframe portion is open world.)

Diablo-like with Ninja Gaiden controls (with skills being imput like combos)

It's Jack of all trades. It's like the arena module of Star citizen: a waste of resources for the deves and time for players.

Xcom with Shadow Tactics gameplay.

Aka: "What Xcom 2 should have been"

Elite Dangerous

But with gameplay

It's called Everspace.

worst idea ever

You don't like shadow tactics?

i haven't played it but since it's supposed to be like commandos i know i would fucking hate it.

Give it a shot. It's pretty great.

Virtua Fighter, only with Tekken aesthetics and music.

Not really, the point of that module is that they build all the tech and gameplay required for dogfighting first so we get to play something a lot earlier while also being able to give feedback on these mechanics so they can mature before the game releases.

Then after release it can still be used as a testbed for new features before putting them into the universe.

>Hating Commandos

What a pleb

Everspace, doesn't have same scope as Elite though. Going to Sag A without any guides was quite an experience for me

Crusader Kings II and Mount & Blade Warband.

If you've played both, you know this would be the last video game humanity needs.

I don't think scope is the right word. There is a lot to do in terms of doing the same small subset of tasks with a myriad of backdrops, but you're still doing the same thing each system.

For instance, there is nothing special at all you can do at SagA* that impacts the game in any way.

It's a very wide mirror. It only has the illusion of depth.

Skyrim with ANY other game's combat system.

Even Witcher 3's?

It'll still be an improvement

bump to keep a thread alive

I'm scared
they are here

If you could the planets would get boring and samey

Yikes. I don't know if it would be better. Might be a downgrade

You know whats terrifying about that picture? The fact that they had to add stars in the background. In reality you would be looking out at a pitch black void, and every second you stare into it, the more tense and uneasy you get.

Fuck space.

and now we are getting spammed by anons who makes new threads in confusion

Skyrim With Dragons Dogma Gameplay, actually, every other rpg with dragons dogma gameplay

truly a master plan to flood the site

Pokemon but with the survival elements outside of towns. You have to keep track of water, food, the heat/how cold it can get, etc

Pokemon can help you out also everything but there's always finding them first.

In most ways I agree with you.

I'm mostly a cargo hauler, so all I normally do is look up the nearest outbreak system and ship medications to whatever station needs it. Which system I trade to means fuck all as far as I can tell.

However, due to just how fucking big the "Map" is, travel makes things limited in ways that most games don't really acknowledge.

Someone taking a mission to ship a passanger to Sag A will be paid close to 50,000,000Cr. However, that trip could take at the least three days of doing nothing but jumping systems and fuel scooping. Not to mention you also need to make the trip back.

This also effects smaller things as well.

Take for example engineering a ship. Most engineers are based in systems near the edge of civilized space, so there's a lot of travel involved if you want to fully modify a ship. Completing a ship is quite a feat in just the travel requirements alone.

Just Cause with the dense cities of GTA and the destruction of Red Faction Guerrilla

A game that looks like it's No Man's Sky, but it's actually just Freelancer remastered

But can you eat pokemons to sate your hunger?

Isn't Everspace just all combat, no exploration Freelancer style?

Dead Space 3 storage system in WoW
WoW's reputation system in ME3

Yakuza and Deadly Premonition
>Stylish well directed cutscenes
>Wacky characters and weird story
>Open world with driving
>On foot melee combat
>Amazing soundtrack

No, at most you can get a slowpoke tail or steal a leek from a farfetch'd. You also can't die, you'll just lose money and black out. Have to keep it nintendo friendly

Sengoku Rance but with Mount and Blade gameplay

Carrier command: Gaea Mission with real world ships, aircraft, amphibious vehicles, loadouts and stats mixed with Silent Hunter simulator elements like being able to move around inside the ship as the captain.

Yes, but prepping for journey and traveling was what hooked me. But I can't disagree, arriving there was very anticlimactic.
And I've put more than enough time in to this game by now to know exactly what you're talking about. I pretty much stopped playing when I realized that the game is the way you describe it.
And scope maybe is the wrong word maybe penitential is better. It's just that I can see how many things could be possible to do in this game and I still have hope but Frontier takes 5 months just to come out with minor updates

Anything is better than shitrim combat.

Warband + CK2

They call looking for resources "exploration" in games these days.

>Someone taking a mission to ship a passanger to Sag A will be paid close to 50,000,000Cr. However, that trip could take at the least three days of doing nothing but jumping systems and fuel scooping. Not to mention you also need to make the trip back.
But you recognize how subjective that value is to you, right? It's the same ethic that someone would take to a Eurotruck game.

Most folks don't find travel itself engaging. Though Elite does do a lot to make it fun with sound and visual design.

Planetside 2+ EVE

aka clusterfuck: the game

I'd play that forever.

>383523319
Mass Effect 2 and Andromeda

No rig could handle such an unoptimized flustercuck of a game.

The issue is that travelling places in Elite is about as challenging, interesting, and rewarding as doing a transatlantic flight in a Flight Simulator.

Dwarf fortress and gta online

But user, there's medieval themed mods for warband with maps of europe

>Elite Dangerous
>Star Citizen
>Freelancer
>Freespace 2
>GTA

BAM! There we solved gaming forever!

what in the FUCK does europe have to do with CK2!!!!!!!!!!

No More Heroes + Saints Row 2

Yes I know. And even bigger issue is that you spend 90% of the gameplay time traveling.
But like I said, when I was a noob it seemed more romantic.

>not including eve online to solve the core gameplay loop

XCOM 2
But in the Star Wars universe with a rebel and empire campaign

The open world and fortress building of Rust, but you can build complex machines inifnifactory style. And you build forts to defend them.

More like Planetside 2 + Elite Dangerous/EVE Valkyrie with gigantic starship/station decks as battlegrounds and outposts as smaller capture points. Add in ring-like homeworlds and automated defense turrets and you have the grandest space experience. Why not even add some RPG elements to the mix.

Elite but with fully simulated waifu co-pilots, like Summer Lesson or Love Plus

A true medieval noble sim has such potential for human cruelty it boggles the mind. I think we need it.

Dragons Dogma with Black Desert Online graphics and character creation.

ur makin me cum

winrar

woah i never wanted more than anything in my life

niiice

>Xcom
>warhammer 40k setting

Current character creator in Elite is beyond shit

This

So you want X-Rebirth but with anime?

Space Hulk: The Cutscene

The entire setting?

XCOM
Stargate

>In reality you would be looking out at a pitch black void, and every second you stare into it, the more tense and uneasy you get.
Mate... the stars are really far away. Even if you get to space they are still far away.

You can see the stars better in space, you just need something to occlude the sun's light.

setting is irrelevant

No mans sky and worlds adrift

just took two shit games and made one good one

Try being more specific about what parts of each game you actually want to put together.

Nice
Keep that fucking point and click bullshit away from my games.

>cumania

why am i laughing so hard at this

He wants the diplomacy and intrigue of CKII but also be able to get on a horse and go lance some king personally

The diplo in Warband is paper-thin grindy shit.

because it's summer.

Dark Souls and TES would be dope. Pretty much open world DS

this would make me like video games again

XCOM
Ghost in the shell

So warband with more diplomatic options. Surely there's mods for that?

>But you recognize how subjective that value is to you, right?
Oh, yeah. By far. It's nothing but a test of perseverance and patience.

>Most folks don't find travel itself engaging. Though Elite does do a lot to make it fun with sound and visual design.

Exactly.

Elite is a very strange game, honestly. Almost 90% of your time is spent doing boring as fuck shit, but that 10% where you're getting interdicted by a Pirate Lord or taking on two Pythons at once is what most people keep playing for.

Ace Combat mixed with the Robotech series

t. brainlet

@383526984

Haha! Epic!! Have an Upboteā„¢! :^)

I agree with you since you mentioned noble. If you make it so each player is a count or something, but starts destitute I can see it working.

Counts and Dukes would be the Jedi of such a game; no one wants to be a fucking serf. Make the serfs NPC and let nobles duke it out in, and out of the Court.

Yeah there are mods that tack more paper-thin shit on, there's obviously nothing approaching CKII's system. You can't even have an heir in Warband, let alone lock people up for lolz.

You can see stars in space, they just don't show up in pictures because of the cameras they use up there

Defiance with the aesthetics and loot of Destiny

Sacred Gold + Bastion + Diablo + Rogue + Daggerfall

Zone of the Enders but with magical girls

youtube.com/watch?v=krA6ekY_OLc
Just imagining this cool robot with pretty dresses and that badass techno HUD as badass magic circles makes my penis tingle

Ace Combat but with magical girls would be fine, too.

Fuck it give me both, the magical girls transform between Ace Combat Jetplane and ZoE Robofighter like they were Macrobocross but cuter

how dumb r u

>tfw nobody wants a carrier sim

I'm imagining you are envisioning Mount&Blade with complex politics and character relations etc

I really hope you aren't one of those DUDE WHAT IF CK2 HAD REAL TIME COMBAT LIKE IN TOTAL WAR OR [GAME] retards

It's already easy enough of you could micro your way out of all the battles the game would be trivial to to no end

I see, that does sound pretty fuckin good.

Tabletop Simulator + those mock trials you did in highschool/college. I just want a fun, multiplayer court simulator.
