I wanted to replay KOTOR series.
Currently at Tatooine in KOTOR 1 (already finished Kashyyyk and Korriban) and I'm finding the willpower to continue.
Writing is too simple and childish for the most part
Companions are shit
Combat is shit
Everything feels so lifeless and empty
Yet I've already invested 25 hours into it so I'm obliged to finish it.
I'm optimistic about KOTOR 2 since it actually had some interesting writing and companions to keep you occupied.
KOTOR 1 certainly didn't age well at all

It's pretty smart but the admins deleted them all instantly and even saved a few bigger threads from the archives. It was a lot of effort for nothing.

KOTOR II definitely feels a lot less empty and less childish, but if you know how to roll a good character you'll be hitting ~90 damage per round by the time you leave Telos.

I have an autistic obsession to talk to every NPC, check out every corner on the map and do every shitty side quest.
Also, I get to get a bit carried away when playing Pazaak.

peragus was ok tBh, pretty short and gives you the basics while introducing key charactes and giving you back story if you bother exploring
telos was a bit stale though, but the worst part in my opinion was the restoration zone, mostly because of how unfinished it seemed

Canon exile is male, jesus face and dual wields blasters (he doesn't use a lightsaber) he also turned every potential jedi companion into a jedi

I guess that's fair, I know where all the quests are now and I know everyone's dialogue so when I play it goes a lot faster. Also I only ever play Pazaak when it's required by a quest or to do one-off things like that guy that gives you the increasing stakes in tatooine.

Because I'm using nothing but mines and grenades instead

Got to the point where you have to board the OP's pictures boss and the game crashes EVERY TIME. Different copies same, Fan patches same. Game was a shit show of bugs not even the fans could fix.

Ok so during the Mandalorian Wars the Exile was a general, and had a penchant for forming force bonds with his men
Force bonds are powerful ties between people that allow people to connect and share strength with each other
During the battle of Malachor V, the Exile ordered the use of the Shadow Mass Generator to fuck with Malachor V's gravity and basically sunder the whole planet while a fuckload of his men were still on the surface. This severed a bunch of force bonds at once, almost killing him and pretty much cutting him off from the force completely
This leaves the Exile as a wound in the force, an absence where force sensitives are drawn to as he draws upon and uses their strength as his own
Darth Nihilus is basically the same but taken to its extreme

You can do anything you want at character creation and you'll still be a demigod by the end of the game.

More like they worked on Male Exile first but didn't get enough time to expand on Female Exile.

The only part of the game that actually is somewhat interesting is Korriban and Rakatan planet. All the dialogue choices for quests are either "I have no need for a reward M'lady" or "I'm gonna kill you if you don't give me all your credits"

The only acceptable female Exiles are the qt asian girl with braids and the bastila mod.

Peragus is fine, and Citadel Station is also fine (aside from the TSF being the most incompetebt police force of all time), the planet's surface is the only shitty part but that last for like an hour max.

It's not that the EU is not canon. It is canon, within its own universe. Disney and LucasArts simply made another alternate Star Wars universe. Why do people not understand this???

Try deleting the actual movie file that makes the cutscene when you launch the game, or maybe try using console commands to teleport yourself to the ship. I had a similar thing happen to me with a cutscene in the first game and deleting the file just made the game skip it.

The Handmaiden is a superior companion to the Disciple, your relationship with Atris as a male Exile is superior to that of the female Exile with Sion, and because the romantic undertones with Visas and Handmaiden with the male Exile are superior to the romantic undertones with Atton and the Disciple for female Exiles.

I keep getting burnt out trying to get max influence with everyone and ended up stopping to play at Nar Shadda. Im not going to bother with influence now. Which party members should I focus on in my first run? Im going light side since dark side is still the same evil greedy douche option

Your entire party gains experience together so it really doesn't matter who you focus you can pretty much swap it up whenever you want

I don't think it's possible to get max influence with everyone in one run. The last time I played I just used the save editor to set everyone's influence to 100 so I could get all the dialogue I wanted before ending my run.

I like how this mechanic goes hand in hand with the lore of the game. Really makes you think.

Just cheat and use the Kotor Editor Tool, or whatever it's called, to max their influence.

Games making the mechanics part of the story is one of my favorite things. I LOVE that they ask you why you thought you were getting stronger by murdering people.

Good thing I maxed Atton already. I think I specced him wrong since he's so mediocre as a Sentinal. Will focus on Visas Handmaiden and Kreia then. Do I need to max Visas or Handmaiden first or one will kill the other?

If Visas' influence is EVER higher than Handmaiden before you max Handmaiden's then she will basically never talk to you again

There's more to talk about with KOTOR 2 than the first game (and certainly more than the mmo).

If you set them all to 100 all at once and leave and re-enter the ebon hawk it will fire off between 5 and 10 cutscenes in a row
