Yes but not very relevant to discuss since the most common people who play it are kids these days
>Is it a give deal?
yes
>Is it a big deal to anyone that graduated middle school?
not really, it's still a fun game though
Where's Minecon 2017?!
With children, yes.
Otherwise it's a very small blip on the radar since Mojang and Microsoft are putting in as little effort as possible with content.
Unless said content is for new Meme Mobs to make merchandise out of to print more money, in which case, they'll put in effort out the ass.
Will the SUPER DUPER MEGA "texture pack" come to PC as well or just Xbox one X? I unironically got exited when they announced that even though I don't really play Minecraft anymore.
Of course it's coming to PC. Also it sort of stoked my interest as well.
>mfw I still love the concept behind Minecraft and I could spend hours playing it, but I'm 22 and I know the game is enjoyed almost exclusively by 12 year olds and playing it just feels wrong now
PC has had texture/lighting mods for years
Not official paid ones, though. Remember, they said it mightn't be free.
I'm too stupid/lazy to install/use them. That's why I got exited for the Super pack thing. Managed to install it once but then I updated it and it broke the game so I'd rather just have an official and easy solution.
It's a great timesink if I just want to listen to music and not really care. Also I just got a cpu that can run one of the better shader mods so I'm thinking about getting that soon.
Pretty calming game desu, creative mode is also good for visualizing locations and stuff for the DnD campaigns I'm running.
For example here's a city I'm building to give me an idea where certain buildings are and their general distance from each other in space.
Minecon is always very funny to watch

>tfw wanted to revisit minecraft but the new combat absolutely sucks and all of the new stuff added discourages me
Wouldn't it be easier and faster to draw out your D&D ideas on graph paper from a bird's eye view?
I'm not an artist, I can't draw a straight line or a recognizable landmark if I had a gun to my head and the most advanced tablet ever made. This is a lot easier to make good recognizable buildings and put in details that I'd otherwise forget.
I also can build dungeons and walk them in time with the D&D party so I can drop monsters and have events without too much thought.
>those kids asking for console exclusives.
So this is where the console wars autism come from

play the old versions friend
I have a huge problem with worrying about not getting the best experience possible
thats retarded user
Just because a majority of a certain age group plays a game doesn't mean you shouldn't
Go on single player or play with friends in a private server
Game is still fun if you avoid the community
beta 1.7. or current 1.7.4 is the best
just install the version where jumping gives you experience points and enchant everything.
>wanting back the old button masher combat
Out of my group of four or five friends that bought Minecraft, only one was under 18 when the first Minecon happened. So obviously the game appeals to a wider audience than just kids. We were just overshadowed by the enthusiasm of the younger players. Which was bound to happen, given the demographic of early adopters (people who are likely to have autistic children).
Is that Recount for Minecraft? Why?
The combat is the exact same. You just have to wait 1 second between swings now so it's incredibly tedious
it was part of the resonance rise modpack my friends and I got when we still played together. I haven't uninstalled it yet because I don't feel like it.
You might legitimately be retarded then, it's literally just unzip and drag. Hell, some launchers don't even require the drag part.
Well it's now a packaged Microsoft product so it's about a toxic as you can imagine
There's Minecraft and then there's Minecraft for Windows, which is some sort of fucked-up version of Minecraft. You can guess which one they're pushing for people to adopt.
I think you missed the lazy part, tardo.
Still fits under the retard umbrella.
at least you can hit multiple enemies with 1 hit
I never would have thought of the DnD idea. I think it brings a wonderful new dimension to the game. Thanks for the idea, damn.
...
Believe me, pre release versions ARE the best experience possible. This is coming from someone who played the damn thing fron release. Just try it, it'll pay off
"managed to install it once"
you might just be retarded and confusing it for lazyness.

YOU
The community went to shit, the combination of the le eceleb youtubers and letting little children play the game without supervision created a very toxic environment.
The game is still good though,

Don't knock the axe mechanic and shields. If someone backported those to 1.7.10, I'd eat it up in a heartbeat. Hell, I've stopped using swords just because of how effective an iron axe can be.
That said, they need to go back to doing weekly/secret updates. There's plenty of stuff to add, and plenty of stuff to build on (Beetroot is by far the worst item in-game, right after the clownfish).
Beetroot is literally only for beetroot soup
And dying, which is also handled by red flowers. It's really redundant. Mushroom stew does the job better.
Yea its very big

Do you realize that you, yes, (you), are the exact sort of idiot this guy markets to?
"Oh man this video is so weird and stupid, I hate it. let me go share it with large forums of people and make this guy revenue. he has to be stopped! but I am doing the very thing that supports him!"
I would assume so.
Glad to know you don't play game then.
I never got into Minecraft. Played it a few times and it just wasn't fun to me. Give me Roller Coaster Tycoon any day of the week.
MINECRAFT
>brrrrrrrrrrrap
nigga they sell minecraft legos at fucking wallmart. minecraft is a huge dealio.
> I'm 22 and I know the game is enjoyed almost exclusively by 12 year olds and playing it just feels wrong now
I'm 24. I don't care about the other players age. I mean yeah, they're young, and you'll get that in games. I feel like there's nothing wrong with it. As long as you're having fun is what matters.
Forever stuck replaying 1.7.10 reaching the moon, making a minefactory reloaded laser drill for infinite ores, a base in the moon, mars, asteroids dimension and then automatizing everything to finally make a mass fabricator of ic2 produce infinite mass for every resource renewable.
Yes. My 6-year old son plays it and likes to build villages, and now I play it when he wants me to build villages with him. His neighbors play Minecraft, too, and they are all less than 10-years old. At schools, there are Minecraft comics, books, and toys at Book Fairs. I used to play Minecraft every now and then back when it was catching steam in 2010. When I volunteered for my son's school's Book Fairs a few months back, I could not believe the sheer volume of the Minecraft craze among elementary school students. It's usually the boys, and once they talked about something Minecraft-related, they couldn't shut up about it, the exception being talking about Pokemon.
Anyway user, yes, it is a big deal, especially among the little ones. It's like Legos.
But 12 year olds are sexy.
there's nothing wrong seeing your little sister or daughter sexy
just don't molest them like in your doujins you pedo fuck
>spamming jump and left click is better than timing shield blocks and sword strikes
>spamming machina gun arrows is better than aiming precise high damage shots
Sure thing buddy
All the 12 year olds are playing the mobile version, I would guess kids don't really play the original pc version.
All the
