I never bought a ps4 or xbone but when the pro came out I got one of them.
Mid cycle refresh that's more than just a hardware revision.
It means people who are already invested are getting a worse experience unless they upgrade, it's the first step towards consoles having the garbage phone style upgrade cycle.

I did the PC in the livingroom thing for awhile. Its not worth it at all. You always ultimately need to drag out the keyboard to fix a fuckup. Your controllers won't power off. And some games freak out when you use bluetooth to connect a controller. I prefer consoles for the living room.

Get a Steam controller and set up your other controllers through the SCC too.
You'll never have controller issues with it and can easily fix issues without getting out any thing else.
Don't know about the Switch, but they announced the PS4 Pro after Microsoft announced they were making "Project Scorpio". It's really bad damage controlling.

I'm honestly regret upgrading to the pro. The only game that really made use of the pro was really rise of the tomb raider. I'm currently just playing darksiders warmester, titanfall 2, until dawn and resident evil rev on the pro. Not a bad console but the xbox one x is very superior and I'm considering selling the pro for it.

There isn't one, the touch surfaces can be configured in all sorts of ways including acting as a right stick replacement in like a dozen different ways depending on how you want it.
