That's just the same battery percent miscalibration that people reported since the first week.
It literally doesn't change anything, it just makes your Switch display the wrong percentage, you could still play the entire charge normally even after it gives the 1% left warning.

Not that user, but yes, the Switch has a function that isn't working properly in what I assume is software side, not hardware side. The core functionality of the system remains in-tact. Nintendo needs to fix it with a firmware update, I agree.

Probably from letting it sit and overheat in the dock, along with constantly charging it at 100%. Should always let a battery get close to empty before recharging, the dock is a surefire way to kill it early.
