So you're a tester? If so, is it looking good?
Sea of Thieves is the only pirate game I'm interested in so fart

c'mon guys, I took pics of the map

It looks good that's for sure, not much to do beyond what they showed at E3 but they keep making minor adjustments week-to-week to the world overall. Like shipwrecks now have barnacles encrusting them

Pardon the smudge, had to hide my GT for NDA reasons

is it running any decent on pc?

Cant say, I play on Xbone

Wait, it came out? I don't see it in Microsoft store.

Alpha tester

So can you play it alone or is a team mandatory?

When are they going to add the fukin progression system? Without this, this game is DOA for me

And now for the fun part, scenic shots
The below decks are comfy

Team of 4 to a ship, you can invite friends. Then you're matchmade into a session with other ships, 4 as of now.
They're ironing out the immediate gameplay elements like sailing and combat

Well this sucks, I'll never get whole three friends to play it with me and I hate playing anything co-op with pugs.

You can play alone but it's boring like that

Also, to clarify again I took these pics on an Xbone S hooked up to a decent HDMI TV

I forgot to mention Rare has promised smaller/solo crew play, however they specifically said "crews > one dude in a dinghy. Sailing requires manpower"

>GC: So where do you take it from here, now that you seem to have all the basic gameplay blocks?
>JN: There’s the one missing piece which we’re working on at the moment, which is the progression system.

Approaching an island at sunset

I like this one in particular, this island is pretty much always occupied by skeletons and they're fairly accurate with the cannons on the islands so it's always interesting passing it

Here's another semi-developed island

And here's the last one, I fell overboard so I figured I get a pic of how the sea swells

when is it going to release?

Wait so, what's the genre exactly? There's matchmaking it seems so, is it short sessions? It's not a sandboxy open world?

Next year

It's open-world, the player limit is just 16 per map and each map is a server. I think they said the most they saw online at one time was near 4000
