Deepest mechanics out of any stylish action game. Conversely, it's going to take some real autist dedication to ever master it.

The DMC games are pretty challenging on your first playthrough. It takes a lot of dexterity to juggle/stunlock enemies for their entire healthbar, or you'll have to manage multiple enemies trying to wail on you. Combine that with the high skill ceiling and you've got a subgenre that's a lot of fun to get better at. Even for a single playthrough they're usually fun just for the spectacle: The Wonderful 101's final act is the most intesnse level I've ever played in a videogame bar none.
This is generally true for any cuhrazy game, but some do it better than others.
