Just in general:

Nintendo games, they feel like the tutorial ends just as the credits begin to roll.

blood dragon

FFTA2
I love sucking the cock of the game but that tutorial is terribly long, unskippable and unnecessary

Squidward sword

Every AssCreed game except maybe the first one.

Xcom. They won't shut the fuck up

little big planet create mode.

if you count the hospital mission at the begining of the game, it's mainly 35 minutes of holding forward and then some "stealth" followed by a few gun shots.

...

Witch and the Hundred Knight forces you to spend you to spend an hour and twenty minutes forcing you to learn how to push buttons on a controller. Then the first area explains the ins and outs of various combat systems you won't care about or use.

Then the game omits the explanation on how to actually succeed by setting up your equipment appropriately before venturing out into an area; this results in the player faceplanting the second the training wheels are removed.

guilty gear and killer instinct with 1-hr tutorials but that's if you choose to

>you must run like an idiot for two hours before the first battle

I was late to the dragon quest series because I started with DQVII ps1 version and expected a cool game from the start. I eventually got stuck and bored and dropped it.

Sometime later I emulated DQV DS and that was when I realized how good the series is.

What video games let you play as a jumping man?

BUY MY BOOK

Monster Hunter Tri

Fantasy Life. After not touching that game for a while I wanted to get back into it but the intro and relearning every fucking job was tedious.

Both KOTORs

FFXIII is still trying to teach you shit 13 hours into the game.

FF13. It's not really a tutorial but you can't even use your full party until like halfway through so it might as well be.

Don't get me wrong, I love VII, but that boring start is always getting me away from playing it again, and so I move onto best DQ aka IX

God bless the USA

KH2
Also the amount of time you play as a little kid in Golden Sun before you fast forward and get to leave the village is fucking forever

>forces you to spend you to spend

Mario and luigi dream team is the longest tutorial in gaming history

Xenogears' first 20 hours is essentially a tutorial with how simplistic and slow everything is.

...

80% of portal is a tutorial.

Twilight Princess.
Really puts me off from replaying it.

Now I'm imagining Dougie as a really long tutorial.

Thanks, Sup Forums.

Portal 1&2. They really don't take the training wheels off until the challenge puzzles/coop puzzles.

>He didn't enjoy playing as Roxas
Shit taste 101, boys. Look and learn what not to do.

Total War games. They have a tutorial campaign.

I can't even type straight I'm so mad.

Is IX really the best? I've been thinking about getting into the series and emulating a DS game would be really convenient.

Assassins Creed 1. Almost gqve up on playing. Then gave up after the first assassination cause it is boring af.

PERSONA 5

The tutorial never ends, the whole game from start to finish is a 75+ hour visual novel tutorial.

FF13

>talking about Judy

instant VAC b&

Persona games

>tfw 3fags criticize 4 when 3 is just as guilty

A long tutorial is not always a shit tutorial.

Fucking this

>best DQ aka IX
Jesus fuck.

What games have dramatic recasting between installments

XII is like this too. Only when you get Ashe permanently on your party you can use the true potential of the game. It takes a while, most people give up before it but is just when the game turns better (if you can ignore the story)

long time

HelloooooooOOOOOOOOOOOOOoooooooooooooooo!

...

>There are people in this thread RIGHT NOW who don't appreciate Dougiekino

Should be shot tbqh

>lynch will never respect video games enough to create one

MGS V Kiefer was better than Hayter

Why buy books when you can use that money to dig yourself out of the shit you're in?

Okami

>your game is corrupted

>dougie staring at the USA flag for a solid minute as the national anthem plays quietly in the background
????

coopers never going back to normal

OH ANGELO

...

Kingdom Hearts 2.

What videogames have tutorials that last for the entire game?

Because that's how long Cooper will be a husk, calling it

Fable. At least it felt like it lasted forever

>sad sax music plays as cooper stares as a statue's feet for 9 more episodes

youtube.com/watch?v=ijcTx6vBoJw

What kinds of video games are being discussed in this thread?

>tfw there will never be a canon point-and-click adventure game where you play as Jeffries through his whole backstory

judy

NONEXISTENT REEEEEEEEE

Ni No Kuni, practically the whole game. I still love it, though.
