Most modern humans think they died out years ago, all they use are phones and tablets.
If he mentioned a PC version he'd have to set aside 15 minutes explaining to the audience what steam is, that people are still using desktop computers in 2017, how you're able to connect controllers to a windows computer, etc.

It's a huge problem for the pacing of the show, it's easier to just omit that part.

This, there are few games today made by big companies that havr this look, Cuphead, MarioRabbids(say what u want, the game looks fun) are just a few examples(and the only ones I can think of right now) in which the producers put their heart and soul into.
