wine?
Open the picture, that's the error it gives me.
sorry I have no idea
I've never even used wine, just lurked Sup Forums
try googling
You might want to run it in console for more verbose output
But anyway, you could try installing the game with Playonlinux which appears to have an installer profile specifically for Halo: Combat Evolved. Alternatively, since what I assume to be the installer is looking for config.txt in your home directory, assign the CD directory to one of the emulated drivers in winecfg (or just fuck it and bruteforce things by temporarily copying those files to your home directory because that's where the apparent installer is looking config.txt from). Sorry, but I have difficult time giving step-to-step advice without looking around a tiny bit first.
Anyhow, according to appdb.winehq.org
Install gentoo
...
Or wait, have you already installed the game already? Given that the screenshot has contents of the CD, I assumed you were installing the game. Apparently there's a no-CD patch, apparently as an official update now (run haloupdate.exe, the game is installed in ~/.wine/drive_c/Program Files (86)/Halo whatever).
I will be nice.
Don't use vanilla Wine, OP. It fucking sucks.
Try installing PlayOnLinux, which is a Wine derivative.
Playonlinux is just an interface for installing games and managing different versions of Wine, internally it's the exact same thing
Yes, but it autoconfigures profiles for specific games. Yes it does the same thing but it takes SO much of the work out of running the actual games.
>spanish
they have Linux in nigger counties
>Halo - Fatal Error
That's the 343 one right?

time to reinstall windows OP
Get the fuck out of here Sup Forums
Is Gnome desktop any good? I want to try linux and use something that's actually not reminiscent of Windows.
It can be, with the right extensions. Vanilla GNOME is just kinda eh, but GNOME Shell's extensibility is its greatest asset.
Honestly? No.
Try KDE, xfce or MATE.
windows virtual machine?
It might be looking for the config file in the present working directory. try to cd into the directory with the exe and the run it through wine.
Gnome and KDE are bloated shit, try Mate or Cinnamon
there's this thing called winehq
it's pretty cool, you should check it out
No, try KDE or XFCE.
I wish my images were that well sorted.
blackbox or gtfo
No one cares about your shitty meme os, op. Try windows, it just werks
I recommend lutris instead. It has all the features of PlayOnLinux and more
