Same, sort of. When she "died" in the first chapter, I played through the game like normal. Then I saw someone post a pic of her while I was halfway through the game and it showed her and some girl with black hair (later learned that it was Mukuro) and I put everything together on my own. I didn't want to believe that I got a major plot point spoiled with just 1 simple picture but I was.

For the longest time I believed that Weedman was the mastermind because someone here fake spoiled the first game to me before I started the series. I genuinely believed them until the Junko pic.

I have never played something with such a retarded story, really. A teenage girl in japan with the mixed ideals of Nolan's Joker & Bane creates the apocalypsis and then comes back again as a fucking AI in matrix for crazies.

I had to repeat myself a mantra to finish the first 2 games. The anime made everything even worse, the despair side is the only one worth watching and it gets ruined by adding mind control, while the future and hope sides just don't add anything at all except letting the faggot that ruined the hope side with his anime bullshit ruin the story a little more.

Everyone knows the backstory of DR is stupid, it's the characters and individual cases that make it worth playing. Focusing on the retarded big picture is one of many reasons why the anime is terrible.

I think the retarded big picture is entertaining as long as it's not looked at too deeply. The only material that did "worldbuilding" well for DR were Zero and Kirigiri, and DR:Kirigiri is very character driven anyways.

Tru dat, though the first game has really easy murders, the second one is the best one imo.

That's the thing. There is something hot about a girl who goes with a smile into being mutilated and tortured to death and enjoys the whole process.

1 was surprisingly coherent and believable for an anime game imo. It was silly, but mostly in a good way and the story made sense and was fun.

I overall did enjoy 2 more, but they made Junko worse. I'm not gonna watch the anime, sounds like it's gonna sour my image of my series.

It's funny that the most sound murder plan in 1 was devised by the first victim. The rest are pretty much accidental, except for the justice robot thing which was such a shit plan that it makes you wonder how the killer got their ultimate title.
