Now that the dust has settled can we agree this was the best new ip of 2015
Now that the dust has settled can we agree this was the best new ip of 2015
>literal 10 missions of THE DOORS LOCKED AND THERES ENEMIES COMING!
at least the graphics were ok.
Does R6 Siege count? I mean it's technically a R6 game but it's essentially a new IP as it doesn't have anything to do with the others.
>wanted to try it
>uplay
I thought it was good, but it needed something more. Maybe it was the theme or the shit story that really didn't bring you in.
Absolutely BTFO with one .gif.
I thought the audio logs were okay. The setting was pretty unique. Also, I just want more third person shooter RPGs. I've never seen anything like The Division.

What game is this
...
...
>I just want more third person shooter RPGs.
This is exactly what I want, something where progression is always there to keep you playing. With Division, we all knew the downgrade was coming from the original bullshots and 'trailer', but I loved it.
>that great artwork in game
>that great setting of abanonded new york
>the great wonderment of what happen and how the world would work in game
>pvp was a focal point
>the excitement
>.....
>game ends up being a basic as fuck shooter with a worthless rpg element that rewards you for becoming the toughest bullet sponge you can be
>..the disappointment
>ubisoft in charge of not making something potentially awesome completely lack luster and simple and as basic as anything can get
it's name is not important
my name its not important: the game
this man, turning on natural lighting and wandering new york is the best part of the game
People shit on The Division, but it really is unique. When the fuck have you ever seen a third person modern day military RPG? The game was shitty on launch and had a ton of bugs, but still. Hopefully they learned a bunch from the experience. I think they did.
Ubisoft have potentially great ideas for new IP's but every single time, they fuck it up.
What's important is what he's going to do.
what's your opinion on this world?
It was Ubisofts weak attempt at strapping Tom Clancy's name to a Destiny rip off, as well. Outside of production and art, they really have no skilled developers at that establishment.
Really wish Ubisfot would do pic related and hand over the Clancy brand to a company that can give some eventful Clancy games. They had a good brief run...time to hand that over to men who know wtf to do with it.
Its a shame the game became a flop because of repetition and bullet sponge bullshit. Also the fact that the AI and the AI difficulty were fucked as all hell.
This x100
It's about time they forfeit the Clancy brand.
I just fucking hate this world, and the human worms feasting on its carcass.
>it's been two years
what the fuck? I thought this game came out like 6 months ago or some shit
The people who like The Division don't mind that shit.
describe your life to me
Lots of drugs?
I much preferred Dying Light. Parkour movement + zombie survival shit was a pretty good combination.
My whole life is cold, bitter hatred — and I always wanted to die violently.
Dying Light got too easy near the end. Did the remaster fix that?
i don't have my watch, can you tell me what time it is?
It's time for me to kill, and it's time for me to die.
Nope but hard and nightmare difficulties helps it out somewhat. On hard, zombies and enemies deal a shitton more damage but they don't end up as bullet sponges so it's a satisfying game to play. Nightmare is just bull fucking shit.
>Tfw I legitimately had no GOTY for 2015 and 2016
What terrible years.
I guess DOOM would be my 2016 one but I played it in 2017.
As a guy with 300 hours in it who actually played a lot of endgame, no. No, it was not.
I played on the highest difficulty, like always. Did they have Hard and Nightmare in the original? Just wondering 'cause I might play it again if not. I enjoyed the fuck outta certain aspects of the game.
What's your favorite 2015 new IP, then. Don't pussy out. Name something.
Nah, hard and nightmare were added in a patch. I recommend you grab The Following too if you haven't already since it adds a shitton of fucking shit like a bow, a crossbow, a new map and a buggy in the new map too. The devs also announced another year of free dlc coming up.
The Witcher 3
That's a sequel mate.
Cities Skylines and BloodBorne
I'd love to, but I don't buy DLC. Even if it costs a dollar. My life is agony. It fucking blows having principles.
inb4 some faggot says Bloodborne doesn't count.
Shiet user, pirate that shit then. I would have even bought it for you if the sale hadn't ended yet. The Following is really worth a play.
I gotta learn how to cope. I just hate that DLC exists. It's so fucking great buying a new game and realizing there's day one DLC for new weapons and shit. Fuck. Don't even get me started on Deluxe/Collector's Editions.
not even the best new ip shooter of 2015
Splatoon released in 2015?
Well, I'd be the last person to tell you to abandon your principles mate. In a way, it's admirable to be steadfast in that sense. Even I don't purchase DLCs mostly, only when they're well worth it like this Following expac and Witcher 3's DLCs too.
...
Are you fucking serious?
Yeah. I'm trying to figure out if there's a middle ground. To be fair, though, I wasn't always this way. I had to grow into having standards.
