literally who the fuck
>i7
I hope you got it delid.
>I didn't want to get the founders edition (looks way too generic)
>Asus's STRIX card is pretty nice looking but it says "republic of gamers" which makes me cringe
>gigabytes card is decent but it has terrible coil whine
I know Zotac ain't the hottest but it looked the best for me idk
>Zotac
dropped
or you can get the fucking evga card with the best customer support known to man
No, I didn't... I didn't even know that would be a problem, is it that bad?
This, and also..
>Zotac card for that tiny case
Yeah it was between evga or Zotac, and I went with Zotac...
Best housefires known to man as well, along with his i7.
I don't think its horrible
>Zotac
Zotacs are just needlessly huge.
Yes they overheat like fucking crazy because Intel used shitty paste.
My friend bought a 1070 and one of the fans completely stopped working after a month. RIP
Yeah I agree, but not that far off compared to other 1080's
... I gotta corsair generic ass liquid shit, is it still gunna be a problem
Yes, it doesn't matter if you get a Kraken, your temps will still be crazy unless you turn off hyperthreading, and ram oc.
Honestly you don't really need either of those features for vidya.
Fuck that
>Liquid
>Corsair
Return that shit and get a good noctua air cooler. If you're going to do liquid, you should only ever do a custom loop. Closed loops shitty from my experience and are only good for tight fit builds.
Ztac
HAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAAHAo
>Best housefires
it was patched
t. 1070 version 2 and runs cool ass fuck
>Return that shit and get a good noctua air cooler
Dont do this OP
(I wasn't)
what u got there user, microchips?
Don't listen to this faggot. If you don't want to spend money on a Noctua, get a cryorig H7. t. fell for the liquid cooler meme and got better temperatures and a higher clock rate when I dropped liquid.
Retard
I'm not over clocking
You don't have to be overclocking. I'm telling you how drastically different my temperatures were.
You fell for the unlocked meme. Please tell me you atleast got a z270 for it?
I mean as long as it works who really cares other than pchiles if the temps are 10 degrees less
Stop trying to justify your shitty purchase with your giant shitty coolers.
>Who cares
Lower temperatures means longer life, means less issues. Hell it even means the ambient temperature of your room will be lower too. What kind of question is this?
Yeah OP who doesn't know shit about computers should risk leaking coolest over air based cooling, good fucking idea.
>I'm not overclocking.
Then why did you get overpriced parts specifically for overclocking you idiot?
>leaking coolest
leaking coolant even
>premium product from literally who brand
You are like those poorfags who buy iPhone with installment plan instead paying upfront just so he can show it to co-workers.
Higher temps = shorter lifespan
Idiot.
Idiot.
Because I may want to oc in the future..?
Holy shit, I have to show Sup Forums this thread.
not just that but intel has been putting RFID into the new cpu as a backdoor, it basically sends all the processes into a signal which translates into whoever collecting it.
>Yeah OP who doesn't know shit about computers should risk leaking coolest over air based cooling, good fucking idea.
Move whit boi
>implying you even know how to
>implying you can OC with that non-delid i7
>>premium product from literally who brand
Clarify
you could have grabbed a z170, locked i7 and overclocked still. Maybe even had enough for a bigger case.
install gentoo already faggot
I wonder if OP even downloaded enough RAM
>Zotac
they're the other side of Sapphire, the company that makes some of the better AMD GPUs
I wonder if OP knows about the cum TIM
One person who doesn't just assume their a meme
>10 degrees less
You're looking at at least 20-30 with that huge video card, tiny case, and shit CPU.
>downloading ram instead of vram
Look at this faggot.
OKAY then what do I Do!
Should I delid it?
He'd be better off with a blower in a case like that, might as well custom design a plastic coolant shroud over the CPU like OEMs used to do on their builds so the airflow is easier to direct out the exhaust fan
don't even try to delid it, delidding is for certified priests only
You should kill yourself, consoletard.
>384213771
No- I fucking don't
Leave box unopened, and trade it for an i5, then you'll amhave some spare dosh.
Obviously I wouldn't do it myself
A. Already opened it
B. money isn't a problem
Send it to Silicon Lottery then.
Hey, maybe next time
PSU > everything else in terms of importance
Why are they so expensive? And could I just send mine in?
>zotak
pic related
I hope that's the 7700k too.
What's your psu? what kind of cooling did you get with it? how much ram?
Let me laugh at you more.
Bought this today
Stop. You're hurting my feelings
650 gold evga
16 gigs or ddr4
Corsair super generic liquid shit
Put a good 240mm aio on that egg fryer and youre good.
>conductive thermal compound
>fell for the ryzen meme
Nice case
I don't even need it, the corsair has a pre-applied thermal paste
It's fucking huge apparently
Really though, other than the zotac gpu you did pretty good. I would have gone with the asus cards because in terms of overclocking without risking reliability they're the best in the market right now. Plus if you have an asus monitor you can g-sync and smooth the frames even more.
source: I'm running 2 of them on sli right now. It's worth the "REPUBLIC OF GAMURZ" cringe.
Custom loop is just pure fagotry if all the water just go for a 240mm radiator just like an AIO that cost half of the price.
>Coil whine
This aint 2004 anymore, kiddo.
Yeah I just made that up to justify me buying a Zotac
Threads like these are the reason I'm afraid to build a PC.
At least I have my PS4...haha......
Custom loop will actually get you decent temperatures. AOI will cost 100 dollars for air cooler that costs half the price but same performance.
Because delidding is extremely risky and they have a great track record for it.
pcpartpicker.com
got everything except the ram, psu, storage, and case
tfw got the i7 for 100
Yeah, that's exactly what I heard but damn- who are they trying to appeal to with that "republic of gamers" shit
It only shorten lifespan if you run it above recomended conditions.
shit nig, even if you're going for budget it's always better to get more than 1 stick of ram, 2 sticks of 4 gb will work better than 1 stick of 8.
That's what overclocking with shit temps is, dumb fuck.
high temps above 60 is when you're starting to slowly fuck your shit over. 50 and below is normal.
For real though, I was scared at first too. Just start off with something small then slowly work your way up while education your self.
O ok
It's really not that hard nigger. Everything only fits in one spot only and one direction only. It's mostly about not being retarded and researching the parts to make sure you're not buying a firebomb or shit that's not compatible. The actual building part is super simple as long as you consult your manuals and don't try to guess shit.
what is a good reccomendation?
I'm on a cheap ass budget
Don't be scared, just do your research use pc part picker. Op didn't fuck up near as bad as the drama queens on here are acting. He should have gotten the evga card like the other user said but whatever, the card he got will be fine.
>Ram
>Budget
Not him, but you're shit out of luck. Save up some extra money.
buy a 7700k and z270 mobo or wait for coffee lake/z370 lads?
whats a good reccomendation then cunt
the actual brand does not matter as the actual ram memory sticks are all made by the same 3 companies and then bought in bulk. What you are paying for is the heatsink and the branding. It's all about how many sticks you want, the DDR memory and the A E S T H E T I C S you want. if you're going for gaming only then DDR is really not that important, you wont notice a difference beteween ddr4 2400 and 3200. Just go for anything with 2 sticks of 4 or 4 sticks of 2 that fits your build aesthetically.
>Zotac
How do you fuck up that bad?
get it done through them
mail it to them and they'll email you test results and mail it back
I sent mine from australia
before this it would sit on around 50 just idle and would hit upwards of 75 under load
just go for what we have now, there is no way with the diminishing returns we have that they're gonna be worth the insane price they're sure to get at first. If you build a top of the line computer right now you probably won't have to upgrade for at least 15 years.
