Status effects work on bosses

>status effects work on bosses

>my dick works on your mom

It always pissed me off when games make boes immune to status. There is almost no point in using something like poison on a grunt and the boss is immune to it, so poison is rendered useless.

>Play Middens
>Every encounter could be a boss meant for end game
>Poison status shaves off a set portion of the enemies max health
>Works on bosses
>Seeing the boss lose thousands of health per turn and hope to not get obliterated

>Boss has a broken status effect

>the effects are only half effective

>you can buy a unique single use insta kill item early on in the game
>if you save it for the final boss you can skip the entire fight

>status effects work on bosses
>they die too easily

So what would be your dream turn based RPG?

>Bosses can uses status effects
>That can't be cured by normal means or at all

>boss dyes the wool

>Boss can get afflicted with Death

I agree with you, I mean, I have nothing against having a boss immune to a specific ststus effect if it makes sense with his character or story, but other than that, I agree.

>boss reflects the status effect to you

>mfw using sleep potion/spell on a boss works

>Effects stack when used on you
>Dont stack when used on boss

Betrayal at Krondor + bigger battles + perks for high enough skill ratings + gore when killing with enough excess damage.

>you cast reflect on a party member, and cast the spell on them, which reflects back onto the boss

>Using a phoenix down instantly kills the boss

Never heard of that game. Is it any good?

>that spell was heal

>Use a status effect on a monster summoned by the boss
>Boss eats the summon
>The status effect transfers

My favorite is putting a boss to sleep or in confusion.

It exists. Etrian Odyssey 4.

>First proper boss uses extremely powerful magic and physical attacks that can almost one-shot your entire team
>Using a tent on it blinds and silences it for the entire fight

>only some status effects work

>status effects don't work on bosses
>except that one fucking boss that's almost impossible to kill without using them

>poison effect is in a game
>it doesn't do shit to half the enemies and none of the bosses
Why do you even put it in there you fucking Japs?

>Boss uses an attack that undoes all of your stat boosting spells / positive status effects

>Boss uses unique status effects
>Cure spells and items can't remove it
>The unique statuses are weak shit and only has a 1/4 chance to do something bad each turn

Dangit Yabbadabbado

>status effects work on everything in the game
>but it doesnt change the fact that you're fighting shiro tagachi and still have to deal with his bullshit

>tfw you were hoping lust would give you a quirky scene where Ann tries to fuck Joker in the middle of the final battle
>tfw it's literally just a glorified particle effect

>one-hit-kill ability can be used by standard mobs against you but you can't use it against bosses
fuck off Persona with these light/dark weakness bosses that I can't use Mudo/Hama against

>status effects work on party members
>you're the final boss

The worst part is fucking protag isn't immune fucking ohko to a literal nobody enemy just because they got fucking lucky I swear to God fucking despair proc

>tfw no doujin of Makoto, Ann, Haru, and Futaba all being afflicted with lust during the final battle with Fred Flintstone
>Beat him with the status effect still on them
>Steadily build in intensity through each day, all of them experiencing a strange "need" for Joker, which only gets worse when Joker turns himself in as each day passes
>When they finally get him out of jail, they all swamp him and engage in a mass fucking on Valentines Day

>can debuff the shit out of boss damage so you can hit the loot pinatas in the arena instead

Name the game.
