Hello, I'm here to save video games.
Hello, I'm here to save video games
Why would you want to do that?
...
Oh yeah? Well my cousin messed around with it for an hour and he made a shitty game. That means the entire engine is shit and worthless and i hate it!! Everyone should invest in their own engines in-house because [???].
>Square Enix switching from their shitty in-house engine to unreal engine 4 to develop Final Fantasy VII Remake and Kingdom Hearts III, both releasing earlier than expected (fuck luminous engine)
>Dragon Quest XI also made in UE4
>Arc System Works upgrading to Unreal Engine 4 to develop Dragonball FighterZ, proving real fighting games can be made in the engine and that any art style is possible
>Days Gone, one of the best looking games on consoles as well as one of the few games which can have over 100 enemies at once is made in UE4
Days Gone is UE4?
It's true. Even Italians can make good games now.
Someone on lainchan told me to use either unity or godot
>literally one click to release on any platform
>no one wants to release for the switch
>UE4
The tech demo is cooler than the games released on it.
It's actually amazing how much quicker games can be made in it as a shitty one man developer that makes games for fun than in Unity. They look so much better too.
yeah
even the japs jumped on it
Thanks to UE4 we finally have the first video game to look better than Toy Story
luminous and ue4 are both dx11 based engines with according to the devs the same tools sets, the difference comes in post processing where luminous shines, also kh osaka team had no know how and had to learn the engine since all luminous devs were put on xv to finish luminous engine, which finished a few months before XV released, it's now luminous studio pro.
Nomura even just said today that going to ue4 caused massive delays for them, which is opposite to what kh fanboys where trying to act like it'd speed up time.
Basically anything you can do on ue4 you can do better in luminous.
Luminous is great, they moved kh3 to ue4 because all luminous devs were assigned to XV to finish the engine instead of being split up between different games, 7r started at that time too which is why it was on ue4 also.
luminous finished in 2016 which was about 2 years after they had moved kh3 to ue4/started 7r on ue4.
That's because you're supposed to finish a game engine along side a game, FOX engine was the same being finished alongside ground zeroes before being used in other stuff.
now that XV is out they had finished luminous, now luminous studio pro and the new dlc stuff luminous studio pro too.
And theyre also doing stuff like kingsglsive assets rendered ingame in luminous now which they've teased
You're a fucking idiot, and nomura literally said ue4 delayed them because they didn't know it at the start
how the fuck is kh3 or 7r earlier than expected?
it looks good but calm down
> engine runs well by itself
> start building game
> performance degrades a thousand times
> enjoy your single-threaded 30fps game
Fuck Unreal.
Try not being shit at it
No fuck you, you're too stupid to use it properly.
>Neptunia's Four Goddesses Online spinoff is on UE4
What are your credentials?
Hello, why is it that this game looks like it came out a decade ago then?
Then fix your shitty texture pop-ins already.
