Tokido has been the best at every game he's ever played from Guilty Gear to KOF and Street Fighter and only recently he's been able to get out of Daigo's shadow.

That's what they were holding him up as. Either Punk wins the first-ever EVO for America in Street Fighter, or Tokido finally wins his first EVO for himself after placing top 3 constantly in Street Fighter. America's hopes were dashed, but Tokido's legend was truly solidified.

Plus you can easily tell that the fact that the only guy he didn't want to face in GF was Tokido, and that plus the pressure of the crowd visibly cracked his performance while Tokido's experience kept him calm and allowed him to capitalize. Punk beat himself, and again, he's fucking 18, so he feels bad about it, despite tearing through literally everybody in the tournament, including the guy who beat him ultimately via sending him to losers.

How do we fix it? Keep in mind America hasn't won the main Street Fighter at EVO in 15 years.

Punk cracked and Tokido styled. The first match had a few really close games but the moment Tokido hit that taunt combo and then perfect after the reset, I knew it was over. No way you can recover from that kind of beating especially on the biggest stage of them all.

Had it been anyone else in grand finals, Punk would've finally won the gold. Unfortunately, he met Tokido coming out of loser's.

Tokido makes Akuma look OP. In fact Akuma is pretty damn weak prebuff. I won't be surprised if he got nerfed in S3./
