horrible b8, m8, truly shite
Only person i recognize is glasses-kun. the fuck are the other two.
You'd better pick up your game with Yakuza 7 my man, 6 was pretty mediocre.
Me in the photo shes holding

>Yu Suzuki's protege
>literally created Yakuza
>now in the position he's in
That's the orange man behind Yakuza
Dude on the right is the COO of SEGA and the creator of Daytona and Yakuza, dunno about the chick in the middle though.
he had a hard life too
SAY MY NAME-U
never played a yakuza game, I know moon and have a ps4 where should I start?
0 then either wait until August 28th for the english version of Kiwami or just import it. Kiwami is a remake of the first PS2 game in 0's engine. Watch this video if you want to see the comparison.

>from nintendo
pffffttttt
Can you emulate PS2 games? Why not start with the first two? If you can't, then just go with 0 and Kiwami. Pick up Ishin as well since you know moon.
Do you have a PC that can run a PS2 emulator?
Play 1 and 2. 2 and Zero are the best IMO.
If not, just get Zero, and Kiwamai a remake of the first game is coming out in August for PS4, and then 6 in early/mid 2018. There's also a new title in the work. It could be a remake of 2 or 7. If you want to get a PS3, get 4 and 5. They're both on PSN. If you can't find 3, don't stress over it honestly. Import Kenzan if you get a PS3, but definitely import Ishin which is a samurai spin-off on PS4. Great game. Really fucking good. Kenzan is also great.
I love this scene. For previous poster, this guy is a baddie from Yakuza 2.
literally who
does this works like kingdom hearts and mgs that the release order is better or is starting with 0 just fine?
Don't have a PC good for emulation here, have a ps3 though.
Samurai spin-off sounds really great, how soon should I play it? really dig samurai stuff to the point of liking basara
You can jump into any game except 5 and 6. Ishin on PS4 is a fun little samurai spinoff which combines sword and gun gameplay. It isn't connected to the main series at all so you can just jump in. Runs at a smooth 1080p 60fps too alongside 0 and Kiwami.
Since you can speak moon, you can get the 1 and 2 remaster on PS3 that was not localized.
Get Kenzan on PS3, it's the other samurai spin-off. Get Ishin on PS4 for 60fps.
if you can read nip, the PS3 and Wii U has a remastered version of 1 and 2
>Wii U has a remastered version of 1 and 2
completely forgot about this
they could do this but not localize it for PS3
>mfw
You forgot about nomura
>looks like a Yakuza
>makes Yakuza games
really makes me think tbqh
>Kojima
>Hasnt made a good game since MGS3
>no Kamiya
>no Suda
>no Ueda
>no Harada
>no Taro
>no Nomura
Youre a pleb
thanks m8s, will probably start either with 0, kenzan or ishin, even though they are spin-offs bakumatsu period is my jam. Will wait for kiwami and maybe play remastered 2 on ps3 later.
If you can get the remasters. 1 and 2 are excellent games, and Kiwamai did a lot of things I find very questionable like the damage sponge bosses, shitty remixes, and making Majima an assclown.
>Hi we are the only relevant Japanese video game directors right now
One trick pony.
This.
I still think 2 is the best, but 0 is a very close second to being best in the series.
2 is just so fucking good.
...
The only good game on that list is Bloodborne
Orange-kun lives
Where's Yoko Taro?
He didn't blow up until DeS.
The further the series progressed, the deeper down the rabbit hole he went. The yakuza series is, what, 12 years old? There have been 7 games in the main story and how many spin offs? I wonder how many of those were legit paid for by the yakuza. You just know there's a patriarch waiting to find out if Kiryu's story is done. Dude will probably end up in an alley dead somewhere if that's the case.
Honestly if you can, play it all in release order.
Playing the PS2 games then moving to PS3 games was a fucking amazing journey. The change in the city and graphics was just spectacular.
I love that he's getting recognized.
...
By the wrong people. hearing normies talk about Taro is going to be the death of me.
I would gladly kill all 3 of them if it meant Yasumi Matsuno would stop making mobileshit.
The relevant game directors are people actually working on games.
Not social media Hollywood wannabes
As ever, anything that gains popularity will bring in the worst kinds of people. It's a trade-off really.
t. someone who imported DeS back in the good old days before the community got to the cancerous state it's in now - also a yakuza fan who's threads are also getting worse - and Nier fan
He wears a mask precisely so you won't recognise him, and he'd be easy to pick out on account of how ugly he is.
>The relevant game directors are people actually working on games.
Director!=developer.
Please learn at least a little bit about how video game production works before posting on Sup Forums. I assure you, the bar is low.
>Japanese
>relevant
as opposed to the people who brought us Mafia 3 and Andromeda?
Directing the games.
Not taking credit and wasting money on whores.
>I made the same game 5 times
What an entrepreneur
Nomura is one too.
is kojima really good at making games?
Castelavania
Metal Gear
Nier/Drakengard
Souls games
Yakuza
DMC (sort of)
Times are tough for good taste
>Kojima
>relevant
Yes, he is.
Itagaki will make a comeback one day
No, he's good at ripping off Escape from New York and other movies.
His stuff is polished, of course I'll admit, but very unoriginal.
>Mr. "I Can't Release a Game Even When I'm Given 10 Years" Nomura
Yeah nah. He's an upjumped concept artist who needs to be demoted since he's proven himself incompetent.
HUHHHH DON'T LIKE THIS GUY!
I LIKE THIS GUY! I USED TO LIKE HIM WHEN NO ONE KNEW HIM! I'M SPECIAL
>upjumped concept artist
>literally came up with 7's story and birthed KH which is their biggest seller to date
>when his crutch, Sakaguchi, is taken away, his FF15 bombs
I think I know who was responsible for 7's greatness t.b.h. Simple subtraction.
And I won't even address Kingdom Hearts much in the same way I wouldn't question the artistic merit of the Disney Channel or some Michael Bay movie. Those exist as cash cows for children.
Saggygooch had barely anything to do with 7. Only concept he came up with was the lifestream.
Lolno, go look at the credits. Sakaguchi came up with the original story. Nomura's involvement was the death of Aeris, that's it.
What about Yoshi P? He saved Square Enix from going bankrupt and helped keep Sup Forums afloat.
>Sakaguchi came up with the original story
No he didn't. Read interviews. He barely had a part in 7. Nomura came up with the storyboard and story. Also they originally had Barret die early on in Midgar, but Nomura said death is unexpected and shouldn't be predictable, so he came up with Aeris' death.
joost boost has really skinny arms
Nice projection user. but feel free to think whatever you want to think.
Are you going to provide any links to these interviews?
He's really good at going on holiday and posting about it on twitter instead of actually making games.
And then he kept recycling the same braindead content formula for the next five years with occasional dead-on-arrival retarded idea when he exhibited his 'creativity'. Don't forget to buy our microtransactions!
>says this while praising kojima
WEW
I know, Polygon blah blah blah, but this is a great inside to 7's life cycle.
Yeah because we know so much about Death Stranding, right?
I sure am excited for a game that I don't even know the genre of.
>No he didn't. Read interviews.
Yeah, let's.
>Square team members Yoshinori Kitase and Tetsuya Nomura had begun to take leadership roles over day-to-day work on the Final Fantasy series, seeing through Sakaguchi’s high-level plans and story ideas.
>At that early point we were all still going back and forth about what the story should be. Nothing had been clearly decided on yet. … [In] the first plot treatment that Sakaguchi-san wrote, it took place in New York, there was an organization there that was trying to destroy the Mako Reactors and a character named Detective Joe was investigating them.
>Over the course of the game’s development, Nomura not only drew the cast but took some ownership of the creative side of the project as a whole, contributing to the game’s story and overall design alongside Sakaguchi and Kitase.
Ctrl+F story. All of it says that Sakaguchi was the primary high level storyteller, Nomura contributed a few ideas, and Nojima wrote some scenario script (including Aeris' death).
don't forget to buy a Sup Forums pass
If you paid any sort of attention over the last year and a half, youd know that death stranding is an action adventure game like the division or uncharted.
Think before you post, kids.
Well I stand corrected, I never read this article.
>New York
That's really interesting.
Wait, so you were making claims based on an article you were sourcing that you hadn't even read that went completely the contrary to your statements?
>you were sourcing
The previous polygon link wasn't mine. This was years of hearsay as I'm a lazy fuck.
>I stand corrected
Someone on Sup Forums admiring fault, this is a milestone.
are you gonna buy death stranding?
except for the fact that he can't use joost. she's konami's property
