>It's an Atari-branded Ouya.
How the fuck did people think Atari was somehow back in the console business?
It's based on PC architecture you jive turkey
>another ouya
Lmao
>As you can guess, those ports suggest modern internal specs. It also means that while we will be delivering classic gaming content, we will also be delivering current gaming content.
>modern internal specs
IT'S NOT A FUCKING OUYA DELETE YOUR POSTS
>an ouya
LMAO
So this is more like a steambox than an ouya?
I'm going to need a source for that you retarded shill.
I don't care about the specs. I'm not too optimistic since it's thin as fuck. still might have good hardware inside considering thickness of current gaming laptops.
But it sure as hell beats ps4 and xbone x in terms of looks
It does look nice. But where's the exclusives?
>Modern specs
So it'll be a Snapdragon processor with 4GB of ram
so far all we can tell is that itll make a nice looking paperweight
>ouya 2
owo
Pi3 with an SD card of Atari roms
BON
KYU
BON
Looks like a router
I don't know shit about this thing but that design is incredible
The design sucks.
The top ruins it for me.
Glad that there's woodgrain, the atari logo is rad as fuck, but that stupid black shit is shitty.
Where the fuck are the switches for difficulty, black/color and so on?
who else /believes/
>"atari"
obligatory
Are people actually believing that its going to be the fourth big game console next to playstation, xbox and nintendo? Yeah yeah jive turkey and whatever but it seems really unlikely that anyone, especially the modern "atari", suddenly has enough funds to enter such a massive financial project.
it's a third party steambox so it can be good if they get the os right
nah it's just memes
How do you input the cartridge into this exactly?
they're teasing us in e mails, but its nice to hope that the modern console makret would be spiced up a bit
I think it's memes since who the fuck would want to buy one anyways
Atari had no games worth revisiting
You dont. Its either digital only or streaming only.
>no physical media support
There goes my interest then.
Video game consoles are a Japanese thing, anyway.
Xbox is already 1 too many non-Japanese companies shitting the place up.
Atari is the same kind of horrible shit, but if they help dig Microsoft's grave, I'm all for it.
Something by SEGA would have been nice but SEGA is well aware this market is closed for the time being unless you're doing nostalgia cash-in 'ala NES mini.
a digital device with a wooden box is the worst kind of industrial design. look at those wooden digital/smart watches.
>Faux wood
>Good
Shit taste confirmed. I'm as interested as the next person as to what this will bring , but please, the design is awful and unpleasant to the eyes.
This guy gets it.
I miss the 80s and early 90s
I'm too old for videogames in the 2010s, maybe the 2020s will be better, only two and a half years to wait.
have you been paying attention to what atari has been doing these last, idk, 10 years? No hype whatsoever. thats like if EA or Bioware made a fucking system.
I don't know, considering the Switch is essentially 2 year old off-the-shelf mobile technology + API + joycon gimmick (and I don't mean to detract from the Switch, I love it), it probably wouldn't be too hard to enter the console market. The hard part would be attracting devs so your console isn't a barren wasteland.
so is this nes classic tier, ouya/nvidia shield, or full current gen console
Getting nuked twice is Japanase thing
It's an ouya that can probably play some steam shovel ware tier indie games as well as some retro games atari will inevitably bring back for it.
steam box would be interesting
>internally it's a Wii U
>Atari eschews the AAA industry entirely
>tight focus on A and AA titles with solid indie support
You're gonna have to up your jive game if you wanna be cool cats like the rest of us Atari brothers, you dig?
No.
But would it make for a good wood grain emulation box?
This thing will bomb harder than hiroshima nagasaki
a wii is like $10 and has SD output
Looks nice I just hope it has the power and support to make good games happen.
that's just a shit render, actual console when?
