how do we get rid of the reddit overlap? this is the single biggest problem, and every other problem including phone posters and Sup Forumsshitters stems from it.

The only solution is to make Sup Forums hard to find, so reddit or won't flock to it. I suggest you make your own clone of Sup Forums, and host it on your local machine, and never tell anyone about it. That way you're the only person that posts on it, and it's guaranteed to have excellent taste and opinions.

Honestly phone posters should be restricted from making threads for a month, as an experiment. If it noticeably reduces the amount of low-quality threads, then make it permanent.

It's not just the posters. This is a problem that goes all the way up to the janitors and even the mods.
A major reason is that today's nufags don't feel any kind of pressure to assimilate. In the past the community moderated itself, but a horde of mewling newshit redditors flooded the site and whined about people talking about topics they don't like instead of just not looking like you were expected to. They didn't even take the time to lurk for a week.

Because of retards refusing to let go of threads about topics they didn't personally care for like a monkey with it's hand stuck in a peanut jar, the mods had to employ an autistic enforcement of the no offtopic/no anime rule, which strangled off the organic process of OC creation and fragmented the greater Sup Forums community. Redditors being completely and utterly unable to resist baitposting is also responsible for the metastasis of Sup Forums, the likes of whom would have been laughed off the board in the pre-reddit days.
