Wut? Happens after they get sahelanthropus and bring it back to MB, one of the biggest scenes in the game.
The soundtrack was definitely more nuanced and expansive than previous titles, but that doesn't make it bland. You clearly prefer more defined tracks and that's fine. MGSV had multiple alert themes as opposed to the single one from MGS1, and they all ebbed and flowed in regards to how things were going during the alert.
