What would a Dark Souls movie be like?
What would a Dark Souls movie be like?
Shit, like the games
They would be able to come up with some sort of retarded stunt like some modern times guy being sent to the past or whatever, and slow motion to fast paced to slow motion again shit combat takes
Nah shit games make good movies, like Silent Hill
It should be a musical
it should look like this
They'll pull some chosen one bullshit.
I've always fantasized about one done in the style of Herzog's Aguirre, the Wrath of God. The styles fit perfectly together. Mostly silent, very dark stories of adventurers braving unfamiliar and violent terrain. Story telling is very minimalistic and it's mostly told through action, however the emphasis is still on atmosphere and emotion.
They even both star dudes in armor
Mostly though I'll just watch anything Herzog makes
What Kino is this?
I think Death Stranding would be a lot more enjoyable as a movie instead of a game. If it was a movie, it wouldn't be open world at all like the game will be.
Don't worry user, it's on the PS4! It is a movie!
are there any movies with berserk levels of suffering?
Then Kojima gets sued by whichever film makers he ripped off this time
Pure Russian KINO
Hard to be a God
Dark Souls literally is a chosen one plot
Have you only played 2?
>fatrolling don quixote movie
I like the way you think user
for suffering try this.
>2013
DROPPED
Wrongo
Was more than 10 years in the making. And definitely Kino.
Can Dark Souls 3 even be Kino ?
Lackluster plot
Characters have one line and laugh for no reason.
Nah, its generic "you are special!" shit
awful
???????.....wah
I'm not even sure if it's bait or you nevr actually played the games
>10 years in the making
PICKED UP
Yeah, "you are special, and so are the thousands of other chosen undead that have come before you" is pretty much the gist of it.
Is anyone special if everyone's special?
You're literally a prisoner doomed to rot that Oscar randomly rescues because he can't finish his own journey.
...
fpbp
something something Bela Tarr
...
Like The Grey except it's a zombified fantasy setting instead of innawoods with wolves.
The biggest mistake to me, is when video game movies try to directly adapt the plot of the game, instead of just using the game's world/setting to tell a new story.
It would Be like Enemy (2013)
They both have a concretely thought out world that is not clearly presented.
No direct narration etc
So you attentively pick up the pieces until you can find the truth in the big picture
Btw these are my favorite game and movie
I agree, that movie feels very Dark Souls to me.
A mix of 1 and 3's storylines that adapts 1's story while Yuria and the Lord of Hollows arc appears.
Solaire fills the role of Oscar in the original idea for Souls 1, where he and the MC end the game at different sides of the firelinking debacle. This is what seems more likely, as it adapts the fanservice from 1 and the story from 3, which is pretty easy to adapt.
I'd personally just go for a movie about some guy travelling through the game's world. No epic world-saving quest, just a guy trying to get through a kingdom fallen to ruin. Minimalistic on the dialogue, no exposition. Just show the viewer, through his actions and developing an atmosphere.
Black and white
all the dialogue is prose
Every shot is indoors or at night
7 hours long
