Real talk, do you think Dragon Ball Fighters and Blazblue is going to kill off MvCI?
Real talk, do you think Dragon Ball Fighters and Blazblue is going to kill off MvCI?
only like 20k people actually still play blazblue games
Not even joking
No.
MvCI killed itself off with how god fucking awful all the news about it keeps showing up.
Fighting games fans don't give a remote fuck about Marvel's cinematic universe. They just want their character and simply removing all X-men characters kicks everyones team comp in the fucking nuts.
Not BB, it's not as mainstream as DBZ
Not a chance, homie.
Not a fucking chance.
No, I think Kappaturds will have the steam/PSN store reviews tank for the first few days but everyone's already made up their minds.
I think people are in for a rude awakening with DBFZ
I think Capcom is gonna kill MvCI. They really don't seem to have wanted to make this game. The only character who isn't in some form reused assets is Jedah.
They're cutting corners super hard and handling the PR in a way that sounds like purposeful IP suicide.
Kappaturds? I'm a newfag and don't know what that means.
The "everyone who doesn't like SFV/MVCI is r/kappa" bogeyman
You mean how Tekken killed SFV?
Ofcourse you can't compare them. SFV looks alright, but plays like garbage and MvCI looks like garbage, but might be an alright game to play.
Fighting games are already pretty niche. Anime fighters even more so. The people that played P4A or UNIEL are exactly the same people that play BB, so a crossover gets the exact same low number of people.
As for DBF: graphics are great, so everybody is memeing hard, but how many will buy it? Is there love for DBZ or for memes?
It will probably be the most successful Arcsys game, but the echo chamber of the internet makes DBZ seem more popular than it really is(certainly less popular than the MCU).
And how many of them will play at tournaments or are willing to play a 3v3 fighter? Most marvel people will stick with marvel.
New game, new mains. You don't play fighting games. Hey! That rhymed!
This too.
dbz and marvel don't have the correct overlap among non-fighting game fans and BB tag is going to be a mugen-esque mess of a game whos roster will be "the guy from persona 4 and a bunch of literally who" to a large amount of people
still gonna play both though
db fighter by itself is killing that shit off.
t. capkuck shill
Capcom shilling will ensure it doesn't die
The FGC is the same as esports as long as their hero idols play the game they will follow like sheep, look at SFV
Fuck off db nigger
it wont kill it off but it will ruin capcoms effortless championship title, but this is good because then theyll have to actually put effort in the future. it will be a close battle between dbz and mvci for 2nd place at tournaments but i think dbz might prevail if the gameplay and variety is solid.
>New game, new mains.
Except this "new game" has every character play the exact fucking same as MvC3. Except your beloved characters you like are removed for MCU characters.
Gamora replaced fucking Deadpool but with a far less interesting set of moves.
Their excuse for not having x-men is "they are just functions". which means "We don't have the rights to the X-men because of Fox" in bitch speak.
t. capkuck shill
>KOF's gonna kill Street Fighter!
>Nobody's playing KOF XIV
>Blabblue Middlestory will beat Street Fighter!
>Nobody's playing Centralfiction
>Guilty Gear looks amazing, suck it capcom!
>Xrd Rev2 still has jack shit for players
>Tekken 7 will crush SFV, they even made Akuma look amazing! AND WE HAVE GEESE PREDICTABO LOL
>Tekken 7's playerbase is rapidly plummeting, soon to fall below SFV's numbers
The only game that will maybe contest Capcom will be Dragonball. Not because MVCI looks awful, but because it's riding on the fucking Dragonball name.
Fuck the fighting game meme genre. I'm going back to shooters.
DBF is what Japanese fighting games in general need. It's going to be the first one in a long while to cut in to the fence sitting crowd and the unaware normalfags NRS has by the balls. All you need for big success is a recognizable IP not associated with competitive fighting games, fanservice for that IP, and high production values for the presentation. MvCI may very well be a good game but it failed to check the boxes on the latter two points. You're going to see record-breaking EVO viewers DBF. You have the fighting game success of the century on your hands.
I don't even play fighting games and I bought one to learn the fundamentals in anticipation of DBF. So I'm a walking example.
>normies clamoring for DBZ over MVCI
>the people who don't play fighting games
this is like SJWs complaining about lack of diversity in vidya, it doesn't matter in the least
I'm buying DBZ day 1 tho
Rev 2 had a good amount of entrants at EVO what's your point?
Capcom is the one who does the most shilling so just like something like League it's what the literal who casuals fly to
dbz has potential to dethrone GG as the biggest anime fighter.
bb crossover will just be another anime kusoge. maybe it takes over BBCF's spot at tournaments.
MVCI will dwarf both in terms of interest and player numbers.
Hopefully. I'm buying both BB Cross and DBZ just to spite Capcom and I've never touched a BB game before.
Capcom marketing's term for people who don't shill their game
>MVCI will dwarf both in terms of interest and player numbers.
>MVCI will dwarf both in terms of interest and player numbers.
AHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAH Marvel doesn't exist in Asia you dumbass, japs and Koreans don't give a fuck about shitty American kusoge like it.
>New game, new mains
Where are they? Most of the roster is recycled from MvsC3 and they don't even manage to recycle to whole thing. 6 new characters is jack shit.
And some of the """"new"""" characters are functions that rip off old characters that weren't brought back for jewish reasons. So they aren't even fresh.
Of course not. Capcom has a stranglehold on the Western FGC, and no memes will ever kill that. Unlike say, Overwatch and Battleborn where casuals can easily be swayed to Overwatch while Gearbox shoots themselves in the foot; fighting games are a bit more complex in terms of how the community works. Capcom games are what the tournament organizers and old guard grew up with, thus there is automatic bias that comes with them. Not only that, but Capcom games have brand recognition that is tried and tested since the 90s. No failed Evo reveal will ruin that in one go.
At most, DBFZ will enjoy superior sales, but the hardcore fighting game scene will still pick up MVCI mainly because the community heads will spur people to play it; and since a good portion of the FGC are either sheeps or they dont want to get out of their comfort zone; they will continue to play Capcom games regardless of quality (see SFV)
I hope so
No, these things always happen.
Some cool looking MMO comes out and everyone goes "OH YEAH! THIS IS IT! THE WOW KILLER! GOODBYE BLIZZARD"
Or some neat FPS comes out and people would go "HERE COMES THE HALO KILLER!"
The truth is, dedicated fanbases rarely ever jump ship unless they literally have no other option. Street Fighter players don't just start playing every other game despite V's quality as with KOF as with Tekken and so on.
The only people who jump from game to game a lot are people who play anime games but even that has been segregated lately between "I play Guilty Gear" and "I play everything else"
I'm sure DBZF will sell well as it is a Dragonball game but I doubt it's suddenly going to replace MvC in the fighting game world
...
DELETE
what are those nu-males getting so excited about
You are also forgetting the 230 people who signed up for Dragonball and then only 23 actually showed up to play
A good fighting game that isn't a remake or rehash.
>Why didn't people who probably had existing tournaments to participate in show up for this promotional event
LOL
fake news
I don't care for either game
No, I think MvCI is going to kill MvCI off.
No.
Normies only know MvC
the meme about sfv being bad is really annoying
That's because they weren't sure when their main pools were, better safe than sorry. What's more suspicious is that the number one shill for Infinite also happened to be the one demoing on stage after top 8.
Really makes you think...
The point is it is very easy for people to talk the talk
capcom already killed it
Truth hurts, John D. Maybe it's time to accept Capcom is getting ready to leave you behind.
>Blazblue
It's deader KoF, pham.
Anyways MvCI killed itself.
You should move BlazBlue to where Capcom is.
All BlazBlue games are fucking trash mid-90s SNK tier fighters.
I believe theres a limit to the DBFZ tournament user
>Tekken 7's playerbase is rapidly plummeting, soon to fall below SFV's numbers
Yeah, you keep posting that, but you should probably wait until the numbers actually fall below SFV.
Marvel is and has always been a normie fighter, what the fuck are you talking about. It's game that gets people playing fighting games when they normally don't, because it's mostly about the huge cast of popular characters. Most normies will buy both.
They won't even realize MvCI is missing Wolverine until they get home and don't see him on the select screen.
No, DBF is a mystery, it remains to be seen how much it will sell, it might "win" the competition against MvCI, but it will not kill it. MvC, despite its current state, is still a strong franchise
>but it will not kill it. MvC
Honestly? No.
Dragon Ball might take off in its own right because of the IP but it's not really competing with Marvel.
The BB crossover seems ok but I think it'll fizzle out fairly quickly, combining one obscure series with another even more obscure series and adding a character whose fanbase (in addition to having shit taste "can I join the fight~") would probably balk at the idea of a QCF makes for a really confusing combination I doubt a lot of people will go for.
You have to consider that despite the hype there is for DBZF, there is also a lot of competion, both from BB+B, EX Layer, whatever SNK might do and who know what Capcom might do to kill sales.
Plus, the big issue is that, despite what a lot of people think, fighting games aren't a popular genre, and it ArcSys doesn't find the way to either make more people git gud on fightans, a game won't sell that well.
I have a problem with the ASW community as in they spend more time crying about Capcom, but then they rely on Capcom community run tournaments to host their games and they're far less dedicated and willing to play their own game. I can call any Tekken or SF player and get a session down in a week, if not a hours. If I want to play BB you even have the online community dodging infinitely.
BlazBlue will not.
Dragon Ball absolutely will.
none of the other games directly compete with dbz fighter, mvc:i does and its going to get shit wrecked.
That's as stupid as asking if Titanfall2 is going to kill CoD.
It won't, despite being an obviously superior game. The only thing that can happen is MvCI "killing" itself. Much like no MMO kills WoW, WoW just goes through its own slow painful death.
Capcom fighting games will still outsell all others for the next 5 years at least, even if they less less each time relative to their last release. That's just how things go. Luckily you are not a drone and don't buy games based on popularity, so this shouldn't be a factor at all. Just ignore MvCI and SF5 like any normal person would and support ArcSys/BandaiNamco instead.
DBZ Fighter comes out almost half a year after Infinite, I don't know if I'd call that "directly competing". And that's assuming they stick with early 2018
for all the flak, i thing mvci is gonna do fine in it's first year
>It won't, despite being an obviously superior game
I don't know. DBFZ is doing shit like removing throws and Blazblue is floaty and sluggish mess.
There are enough people who will buy a new Versus game without looking into it at all that will make day one sales decent. Once they have the game, since it at least isn't as fucking boring as SFV, they'll probably keep with it as much as any other fighter. Then we'll see if the "hold everything exciting at all for DLC" approach works.
It's odd, because I'd love to get the game when I feel it's worth the money, but I also want Capcom to learn their lesson from this bullshit. So the fate of the game is up to everyone else, since I'm not getting it until it's deep on sale.
No.
Marvel game.
Versus game.
No.
MvCI killed itself. DBZF just happened to be the closest alternative at the time, and isn't looking great itself.
...
No, there are plenty of retarded fighting game fans to go around. Fighting game fans are some of the most autistic faggots with dreams of E-Fame rotting their sense of reality.
>and isn't looking great itself.
Good one.
MvCI killed itself and Dragon Ball is reaping the rewards.
>rotting their sense of reality.
see
wow a fan made gif. you really showed him user
Can you explain to me what we were discussing and what narrative the gif contains? Write it all down and then explain to my what your wrote such a retarded post.
>DBZ
>less popular than the MCU
AAAAAAAHAHAHAHAHA
>gif
blazblue tag battle is prolly gona be like persona and be auto combo as fuck
and dbz already has auto combos, its not gonna kill marvel, leave that to capcom
I hope so because Crapcbro will finally die.
I don't get this obsession with pitting the two against each other.
Anime fighter players and capcom fighter players have minimal overlap. Whats the deal with saying ones going to kill the other? They arent in competition. Each attracts a different crowd.
