I'm surprised how much I still enjoy this game the second time around
>only a handful of status effects
>a million ingredients all with the same small selection of effects so they aren't that unique
I wish there was either more effects or more non-status giving food so I feel rewarded for finding new things and didn't have to juggle overwriting status effects
Is this the comfiest Zelda locale?
youtube.com
I feel you man, why can't it just get all buffed up and be resistant to damage and cold?
I want to play this game so badly but I don't have a switch =[[[
This must be what people felt like when bloodborne came out
Running it for the first time, and it's also my first LoZ game. Thoughts:
>Everything oneshotting is the absolute dumbest shit ever
>Why is everything in this game dead or dying? Shrine bitches die when you clear the trial, the guardians are dead (rip Ravioli you are my nigga 4evr), etc.
>I chose Rito as my first zone because they're easily the coolest race in the game. Can't wait to get to the Gerudo so I can have my eyes raped for a couple of hours. Now that I'm going into Atlantis I already miss them
>I climbed a mountain for shits and giggles, found a giant purple dragon boss, and went through its entire fight for the grand reward of a single spirit orb. Ran out of ideas, Nintendo?
>Horses are trash. I just run everywhere now. Anyone else abandon them completely?
>I'm seriously hurting for rupees all the time, and at the same time hurting for arrows. Tips for solving both issues?
>I think I came when I first reflected a Guardian attack
That's all I got. And I know the formatting is ass but I can't use bullet points.
>but I don't have a switch
Neither do I.
Is it worth it to restart in master mode? I'm not that autistic, I have maybe 10 hours in normal mode. Do you just take more damage?
Try on cemu, performance is decent if you have an ok cpu. I have 5 year old 3770 and it's solid 20
I also want to know help for arrows, I don't use my bow often I use it like I eat cheesecake. But I still keep running out of arrows.
>>I'm seriously hurting for rupees all the time, and at the same time hurting for arrows. Tips for solving both issues?
Break ore deposits
sell ore for lodes emone
I always end up with a shitload of gems after a while of adventuring
>Break ore deposits
Even better are Steppe Taluses.
why's your game look so oversaturated?
>Everything oneshotting is the absolute dumbest shit ever
Find the great fairies and upgrade your armor. Or make defense boost food.
>Why is everything in this game dead or dying? Shrine bitches die when you clear the trial, the guardians are dead (rip Ravioli you are my nigga 4evr), etc.
Because it's a post-disaster world? I don't know what to tell you
>I climbed a mountain for shits and giggles, found a giant purple dragon boss, and went through its entire fight for the grand reward of a single spirit orb. Ran out of ideas, Nintendo?
The materials dragons drop are used to upgrade the strongest piece of armor in the game.
>Horses are trash. I just run everywhere now. Anyone else abandon them completely?
Early in the game their useless since there's stuff to explore all around but they're useful when you know where you're going and have no detours. Also jumping off the horse gets you a free slow-mo arrow shot.
>I'm seriously hurting for rupees all the time, and at the same time hurting for arrows. Tips for solving both issues?
Sell ores for rupees, follow roads and buy form merchants, almost every merchant in the game has arrows. Also the Lizalfos on the road to Zora's domain drop like 5 per enemy.
Getting one-shotted ends as soon as you upgrade your armor.
To get rupees, you just have to collect everything you see and sell it. Luminous Stone was my cash cow; mark spots where it spawns on the map and revisit every 3 days. Also, just cruising around Death Mountain and smashing open rare ore veins is a good way to get money.
This also solves the arrows thing. Just earn money, know where to buy arrows, and do so every chance you get. There's really no easy way to get arrows other than buying them.
I'm trying a no warping run and it COMPLETELY changes the game. Got a horse with 5* speed and you can fucking fly. Love it.
(Also I'm not doing towers or shrines)
>I'm trying a no warping run
People actually used fast travel? That and quest markers are the two things that kill open world games, thankfully this game isn't designed around those in the slightest.
Most people definitely used it. But it really breaks the vibe. I was really surprised how much more impactful it was when I actually mainitaned a loyal horse and didn't just warp everywhere leaving it alone
What's everyone's favorite area of the game?
For me it was Lomei Labrynth Island.
>Best actual labyrinth
>Get to end
>whole basement
>surprise basement as big as the island itself
>chest gives you the tensest and most adrenaline filled trap in the game
Oh, nice. I wasn't warping anyway and I have the map off for max immersion.
>thankfully this game isn't designed around those in the slightest.
>large swathes of nothing besides bokoblins if you've already done the shrines for that area
I think it takes away from the point of an open world when you can just go most places with little to no logic to it, I don't mind fast travel when it's organically tied to the world like the Silt Striders from Morrowind.
Plus in Breath of the Wild, moving around the world is a lot of fun in it of itself to me with climbing and just messing around with the interactivity in the world.
I don't see what that has to do with fast travel or quest markers.
Rate my play setup, Sup Forums:
>Master Mode
>Atheist Mode (talk to no goddess statues, three hearts, one stamina wheel)
>Tingle Mode (no costume changes allowed under any circumstances)
>No stasis on enemies
Goal is to get all shrines (if possible) and then defeat the final boss, then take off atheist and costume restrictions to get Master Sword and do whatever else.
Does the Tingle outfit have any unique bonuses?
Floating enemies in several areas and everything is a color-grade higher in all areas, with new golden lynels, etc.
Woke up yesterday and said fuck it I'm getting a Switch without much thought.
Gotta say BotW is better than I thought, except for Dungeons. I only finished the first one ''Ruta'', it felt too short and not very challenging. Other than that I haven't had this much fun in a while playing a game.
I just wish there's going to be more great games on switch that aren't just ports from the SNES.
Oh, also, things regenerate health.
It acts the same as the dark link set, night speed up and startled reactions from NPCs
Same as Dark Link costume. Scare people and night running speed boost.
>Little to no logic to it
Because when you have a mystical ancient tablet that can stop time, make magical explosives out of nowhere, and possesses telekinetic abilities, teleportation is where you draw the line. KYS, puristfag
Well for Cemu, warping too much puts strain on the emulator to the point where it starts crashing after awhile, so it's actually beneficial to not use it if you're emulating
Floating enemies? Like the guy with the wand the mage thing?. What are the color grades? Levels? What's lynel? I think i could do without regenerating health for enemies though.
20ish days until Sanic.
Shit that looks nice on CEMU
You posted it
You run faster at night.
The game's lighting is fantastic.
I thought it was useful for late game stuff and time of day dependent things like dragon materials. Early/mid game its best to just to wander.
But 100 hours in why do i really need to walk from death mountain where i sold gems to that lady all the way to the tropical area just to shoot a dragon to get one fucking scale, then do it all over again the next night
Meant for but Tarrey Town is pretty comfy.
In my experience, it's downhill from Ruta (if you did it first)
Great plateau + kakariko + hateno + zora's + fight against ruta is incredible but the rest isn't as great. The goron quest is much less involved and the volcano is frankly boring. The desert is vast and empty (though the quest there is better than goron). The rito village is the worst with an afterthought of a quest, a terrible dungeon battle/dungeon and snow fields instead of sand fields
It feels like they made the right side of the map first and then the left side in a rush.
>playing Sanic on a nintendo console
Oh how my 10 years old self is laffin
Yeah, the game did most things right, but the dungeons felt like mini dungeons compared to past Zelda games. I sorta understand why, since the whole entire map is basically filled with mini dungeons challenges between korok seed puzzles and shrines.
The Gerudo dungeon and boss were the best of the game. The only thing the Ritos had going for them was their theme
I really hope the next DLC is more traditional dungeons
Damn reading that feels bad
There's so much that's done right. Oh well I'll finish it and go back to my N64 afterwards.

Explain.
master mode has it's own saves, you just switch back to normal and continue from your last normal mode save
I understand but I mean one of the pillars of the whole franchise is Dungeons, I was hoping for top tier dungeons and top tier bossfights.
Also there's not enough music coming from the originals. Piano isn't bad but tipsy piano playing while fighting skeleton monsters feels weird.
I used it and horses in my playthrough. With my second playthrough, I'm only using my horse. I'm really enjoying it.
>It feels like they made the right side of the map first and then the left side in a rush.
Summed that up well. The natural flow of how the game directs the players caused me to wind up at the Zora area first. Coming across various Zora people telling me Sidon was looking for Link, then finally getting to Sidon who warns link about the path to the Domain which was a fun little path on its own etc. sorta set the bar high. Going to the other races settlements and getting to the Divine beasts felt less exciting to me for sure.
Zelda games being milked with DLCs
Well the path to the Zoras was an actual path, unlike the others where you just sorta stumble upon them before the pre-beast mission. Plus the enemies along the route were actually challenging given the gear you'd likely have
I hope the next game has more of those well crafted more scripted segments, those were some of the most memorable moments from the game for me.
I think the freedom in this game is simultaneously one of its biggest strengths and weaknesses.
Gerudo and Goron also have a pretty significant run-up.
Where is horse affection?
>2 DLCs
>Milked
>I understand but I mean one of the pillars of the whole franchise is Dungeons, I was hoping for top tier dungeons and top tier bossfights.
Yeah definitely a similar feeling here. I dont recall exactly where but in a large canyon there is something like "Temple Remains" with some stationary guardians that gave me a forrest temple vibe and it dawned on me they could have easily made large epic dungeons/temples that still fit the vibe of the game. Throw in some keys and locked doors, a few puzzles that require you to re-visit rooms etc. and it would have been close. Getting the key items via shiekah slate sort of ruins the whole finding key items in dungeons (hookshot, bow, etc.) which sucks though. Again, it makes sense given the open world and "explore where you want when you want" but takes away from beating the already small dungeons as well.
Gotta agree with the music too. The melodies from OOT and MM were catchy as fuck and entering areas with music was huge in immersion (cheery music in villages or towns at day, triumphant music in hyrule/termania field, creepy music in potion shops etc.) but aside from village music in BOTW and the fairy melody it really lacked in terms of soundtrack to me.
...yes? 2 DLC's, milked. Name 1 (one) other Zelda game with DLC's
>finally get the quest to use the Kakariko Village shrine using the ball Pay keeps watch over
>Beat down the Yiga Clan faggot
>See that he drops his sword, but it vanishes when the cutscene starts up
>Reload and do it better
>Quickly pocket the sword
That thing is fucking nice. Not quite Master Sword blade beams, but it'll do for now.
Wonder why the Rito one was so weak, seemed like it was almost intended to be the first one given the ability you get from it but it seems more likely that most players will stumble upon Zora's Domain first.
The shrine quests at Rito Village were better than the main quest.
add this:
>get the shrines needed for the Master Sword
>get it and then change all the hearts for stamina
>go and defeat anything with 3 hearts
I want to see more of this girl
When is the retarded 'blood moon every 5 fucking seconds' bug going to be fixed?
Doing a a no warp run.
Horse seems useless other than to travel faster and further trivialize easy fights. I discover way more shit on foot.
Hyrule Warriors
Go talk to people at a stable on a horse.
The strength of the game is the ability to have a huge world that is filled with handcrafted segments. The best stuff in the game are things like purifying Naydra and Eventide Island, and a big part of why that stuff is so memorable is because it's a carefully built sequence that the game lets you stumble on of your own accord. It's completely feasible that people could complete the game and miss that content, which is why it's so refreshing compared to something like Skyward Sword where the game took you on a guided tour of every set piece.
I think the game did about as much as it could have without being dense to the point of feeling guided.
if you're backtracking it's nice to just have your horse auto follow the roads
Why does Link have an iDroid
Oh thought I might just be able to see it from menu
Name one other Zelda game with an open world.
Name one other Zelda game without Epona
Name one other Zelda game where you get the key world interaction items in the tutorial.
Name one other Zelda game that got post launch support/updates
Its part of the series catching up with the times. Think about it, Skyward Sword came out on pretty early on in the Wii's lifecycle which was before every game under the sun had season passes and DLC.
Hyrule warriors. Yes it counts
da lolis
Damn I forgot that abortion existed
Did an entire play through not using the horse. It really is a useless mechanic.
>Get horse
>Go through the bother of taming the thing
>Ride it around
>Jump off 20 seconds after starting because I see something I want to investigate but the horse can't go that way since its a cliff or some other shit
>After investigating whatever it was, notice another thing nearby
>Walk over there
>Next thing you know, you are on the other side of the map
Not to mention that the frame rate goes to shit when you ride around on the horse.
doubted that this game was as good as everybody says and figured i'd play more arms on my switch than this, but holy shit is it good. it's like someone took one of those dumbass ubisoft games and actually made a good one.
>Name one other Zelda game with an open world.
Legend of Zelda (NES)
>Name one other Zelda game without Epona
Most of them, she's only in OoT, MM, MC and TP.
tfw when I found out I can't take pics of urbosa and she only appears in cutscenes.
I wanted close up shots dem abs and pantsu shots!
Who was right in this argument?
The horses can trot if you need to slowly explore an area and they help with harder fights. I like to use mine to hunt, too.
...
Just got fked.
>Name one other Zelda game without Epona
Way to reveal yourself you underage fuck
I was disappointed in the uselessness of photographing characters in general. I like the figurines and extra information from the Nintendo Gallery in Wind Waker.
What is that? A star fragment?
Also does anyone have screenshots of shooting stars? That was really impressive.
...
...
didn't go up to check it out
I always thought these Mongol looking people we're super shifty and bad guys
Well isn't that a one in a million shot.
>20 FPS
>On a Zelda game
PC is shit, we get it.
Very nice.
Now find me an overhead shooting star with a blood moon in the shot.
I'm just happy to be able to play it so I don't mind
Finally did my first divine beast. I kept restarting the Ruta boss fight because the mother fucker kept killing me and using up a fairy. I have like 3 of them but I hate it when I use them up. Which leads me to this question, the fuck does Mipha's grace do? Is it like a permanent fairy?
Consider buying the game instead of stealing it if you're enjoy it that much. A bootleg is no substitute for the original version.
I love all the different coat colors there are for horses. I just wish the spotted ones did have the worst stats.
...
>Is it like a permanent fairy?
30 minute cooldown, but unlimited uses.
>needed fairies
kek
>>needed fairies
Nope, kept restarting each time one activated.
Alright, thanks. Any idea which one gets priority? If I have a fairy and the grace and I get killed, which one is activated?
Fairies take priority.
>That filter
>Vomiting Paya.jpeg

Do you just spend 24 hours a day looking for people posting Cemu shots?
