Checked it out myself and that's on Ultra all right. The post process AA blurs up the minute detail on the equipment and the rock textures really are that bad. It's why the HD rock textures mod is one of the most popular ones on the Nexus.

No it doesn't. If you stand around for hours you'll notice the time of day never changes. Only after cutscenes it changes.

This is not true. It only changes when you're moving. If you just stand in one spot it will stay the same time. If you run from one end of the map to the other and back a few times, you'll see the time of day change. It may be affected if you're currently doing a mission as a few of them seem to have set times of day.

This is what irks me so much about modern games, and especially PC gaming. The west should fuck off from gaming and let the masters show how it's done. Too bad I can't get more than 2 rating in any mission except for Japan. I still loved the fuck out of the game tho.

I checked it out and I stand corrected. Apparently the cycle only starts after you finish the main missions which I still have yet to do despite owning the game for almost a year now.

It only starts after the training missions I think, I haven't beaten the game either but I only noticed it starting when I started doing side missions

Strange, I remember the game being stuck permanently night time half way through the game until I did a story mission

How long do you have to stay around for time of day to change? Because I NEVER played at night except when I had to based on story missions.

I've only ever had night time during the intro and the earlier mission where you sneak into the biolab and meet EA's CEO. I even tried waiting for night to come because I wanted to take more screenshots but it never came. What the fuck?

That's not what foliage is supposed to look like, it's too crowded and there's not enough effort put into the shadows of leaves/branches etc. It looks like complete shit even when compared to some other uncharted screenshots.
