Well for Germany history definitely it is repeating itself. Amazon Germany has the neon Switch stocked since the start of the week and they also have the Switch-Splatoon 2 bundle stocked.
Saturn online also has both stocked and half of the markets have them available so yeah, the demand is very low here, just like the demand for the Wii U was.
Looks different in Japan and the USA though. Europe simply isn't Nintendoland.
