I've got about 50 games in my backlog after buying loads this year

Yeah, mine's organized by year and it's about 950 games long. Been trying to play through it by year too, and I've been making good progress. I'm in 1993 right now.

It came to my mind that I've never truly had a backlog before despite wanting to play lots of games. I just made this list purely for this thread.

I'd say go for Persona 1 next. You're already doing Strange Journey so you're used to the difficulty of older SMT games. Persona 1 will be fun for you while P3P will probably seem easy as fuck.

As for my list, I love horror games and I've been building up my PS2 collection lately. Help me decide what to play Sup Forums:

On the contrary, SJ's my first SMT game and it's probably the hardest JRPG I've ever played. I'll probably try out P1 first before I go to 3 though.

I'd go with Silent Hill 2 for the horror games, and then EO for non-horror. You can probably play Splatoon 2 whenever though.

The story is actually quite good. If not, I would go with the Dead Space franchise

A couple of days ago I finally beat NWN 2 Mask of the Betrayer which I'm pretty sure was the single oldest entry in my backlog as far as games I'd actually put time into are concerned. My previous save had been from 2011 or something.

Jesus your entire backlog is filled with great games. Which version of Chrono Trigger do you have? Played the DS one earlier this year and absolutely loved it. Still holds up as a great RPG even now.

I also fucking love the Dishonored series. It definitely doesn't get the praise it deserves. One of those underrated gems in recent years, though the DLC is actually better than the mainline game IMO.

Honestly though, grab a 20 sided die and put a game for each number and roll. There isn't a single terrible game on that list.
