ITT: Bad naming schemes
Call of Duty 3
Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare
Modern Warfare 2
kingdom hearts 2.8
kingdom hearts 2.5
kingdom hearts 1.5
kingdom hearts days 358/2
Pokemon
Why?
They're not numbered (except b/w) so that's a good sign, the generations' games are named after similar things, like ruby/sapphire, sun/moon
I love the Pokemon naming scheme, it's one of the best in gaming
>kingdom hearts days 358/2
what the fuck does that even mean
...
Yeah, I have literally no fucking clue which games are in which sets... and I cannot fucking be bothered to research it.
The obvious ones:
Wii
Wii U
Xbox
Xbox 360
Xbox One
Xbox One X
Like seriously what the fuck.
I wonder if the Final Fantasy team ever regretted having the basic numbering pattern.
Breaking it would be really bad but then again it forces them to use like X-2 or FFVII-
It's pronounced 358 over 2 days. I haven't played it, but I can come up with a few meanings. Like time compression, so you experience 358 days over 2 real time days, or 358 things happen over 2 days. 358 victims over 2 days, maybe? Or 358 monsters you have to defeat in 2 days.
Are there any games series where the first game is called [Title] 1?
>Wii
>Wii U
It's such a shame they didn't have the balls to call the next one Wii Ur Mom
No Pokemon yet? Not a single number anywhere in the entire fucking franchise aside from Black and White.
Does XD or Gale of Darkness come first? Are the mystery dungeon games sequels, or alternate versions? Where the fuck do Pinball and Trozei Move real fast now, don't go slow. fit in the continuity?
I don't mind the X-2/XIII-2 stuff, it's the simplest way to indicate it's a sequel to a game that already has a number
It's actually 358 days divided for 2 people. Not the best or most elegant of naming choices.
>captcha maiming choize
THE GOYIM KNOW
Apparently it's something to do with the 358 days between Kingdom Hearts 1 and 2 and the 2 in 358/2 refers to the two characters you play as
DId they ever explain what the fuck that thorned vag emblem is supposed to be?
>Not a single number anywhere in the entire fucking franchise aside from Black and White.
>implying numbers make good titles
The numbers in titles only exist for marketing purposes, people are more likely to buy something they know. That's why you never see digits in book titles.
And why would the games be called that? They don't form a storyline between all the games, they're just related by the setting.
Each generation has 2+ games. How would you name the two parallel games?
That's kind of the point of Pokemon, you can start with the newest game and you're not missing out on anything because each one builds on the previous ones.
The only bad thing about the naming is that it's not clear by the name to tell which game is the ultimate one of the generation - like Emerald
Did they ever explain thy the lettering looks completely different?
not video games but this triggered me hard
fuck this really triggered me too
