What was the best video game for you in terms of value for money?
For me it was probably GTA V, got 425 hours out of it so far and got it for $5.

FFXI or Mount and Blade.
how did you get GTA V for five bucks?
TF2
I got it as a gift, and made a 2000 bucks profit.
csgo, up to 2000 hours and it was 5$ on sale and i only bought $100 worth of skins
Got it from a friend when he was done with it.
Dota 2 or Age of Empires 2.
Spent around 30€ on dota 2, for compendiums/battlepasses, for 2200 hours.
Bought age of empires in 1999, price probably around 30€ as well. Spent hundreds of hours through the years.
2,156 hours in GMod for $10 but I had to buy the source games also to fully enjoy it, even with those it's probably my best ratio. - $0.005 per hour for just gmod, probably around $0.02 for Gmod + source games
477 hours in Starbound for $15 - $0.03 per hour
Orange box TF2 at 1,258 hours would be on here if I hadn't spent $300-$400 on unusual hats and taunts then only made back around $100 when I sold everything in my inventory
Are hats the only way to make profits in that game?
Dota 2
Free to start. Almost 3000 hours.
Paid over 40 freedom dollars in Tournament tickets
Either the GTAIV: EfLC or some dark souls game
COD4 1600h
it was pirated, good times
Hats, stranges, skins, rare crates, anything that people want, it's harder now though, around 2011 was shark paradise, I never sharked for items I just kept trading stuff I didn't need, there was some time I didn't even know what to do with all the profit that I even traded for an unusual I liked with the spare items I had.
Terraria.
$2, 1000 hours
Rimworld is quite good too.
Funny, got it for 99kr (which is 12 dollars when converted, but about the same value as 5 bucks) and all I got was an unfinished 35 something missions story, shooting mechanics worse than Watch Dogs, no content endgame or otherwise, and a broken multiplayer of which all the above also applies.
I seriously cannot fucking understand how you can eat this fucking shell of a non-game when it was along with MGS5 the biggest disappointments in video games to come out these past few years.
dota 2. i also made 25$ on it when i used an exploit to get a cool item from the year beast.
For me it was EU4
I played over 1k hours and I didn't pay for it at all
Got E.Y.E for 99c, almost 200 hours of CO-OP play alone.
Probably original Dude Sex, I have tens of playthroughs, but I bought it maybe 3 times, because I had lost the CD the first time and wanted a localised version the second time, because pre-internet times.
Wow, spent like 400eur and have like 20k ach points and over 200days /played.
Havent played for a year though, feel very sad about it but i dont feel the same way about the game anymore.
Dota2, almost 5000hours and 4.6k mmr points and i still love the game every time i play it.
After all these years i still believe that some day i will become a pro player.
All i have to do is to keep expanding my hero pool and stay off drugs/alcohol and women.
every game i pirate gives me infinite value
WE
The shooting I'll agree needs improvement but there were 69 missions, and I found a lot of things to do in both the singleplayer and Online, although Online has its fair share of issues. I wasn't disappointed at all.
