I really want them to be good again but fuck it aint happening

Gee I wonder why, Matt.

Why does he go with mcmuscles when he's very unfit.

whos the fourth guy?

Has anybody else noticed how close Pat is to pulling a Jontron in his recent videos?

I believe it may be a facetious description and not his legal surname

Same reason he hides his baldness on the channel. He's deluded and insecure.

More like Matt McManchild

Was he trying to debate Woolie about his racial heritage and status as a Canadian citizen?

What is wrong with Matt, Sup Forums?

He tried to play the FUCK YEAH AMERICA angle for so long but deep down inside he was always a filthy fucking leaf.

shame too thought he was one of the good ones

One of the best part of their LPs

Don't forget, " Dude, I watched a NJPW PPV once two years ago. That makes me an expert on pro wrestling."

Stop this. This cannot continue.

I haven't watched much in the last 3 years or so. Does he still spout misinformation and then not get corrected?

I prefer this one youtube.com/watch?v=wmRXFTehbAU

Hi Liam!

I still find them funny

It can be found offensive, yeah. That said, you'd have to be an overly-sensative baby to be offended by it.

>We really going to put dunkey anywhere but tier.

Well I respect the work you do user. Where would we be without garbagemen.

Same, but their recent playthroughs haven't interested me that much and I didn't want to watch the Yakuza 0 as I haven't played it yet.

Don't you threaten me.

Podcasts have improved IMMENSELY once Liam left.
>No anime discussion with his shit taste
>No defending of corporations
>Artist call out
>Jenkim discussion
>Pat shitting HARD on melee players
Last one is doubly so since liam will go "Liiiiike, come on man, not all melee players act like that :)"

Pat has a bachelor in psychology, doesn't he?

>Character punches another
>YOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO JOJO REFERENCE

t. I have no friends IRL and pretend dunky is mine

Mostly agree, but Pat shitting on melee players is actually kind of annoying, since it feels like he's just mad about them for personal reasons, rather than having an legitimate beef with them. A lot of the stuff he bitches about in that regard is kind of stupid, as well.

i started watching it, but decided i wanted to buy and play it so i quit.

Armada quit a tournament because he doesn't have a back up for his faulty controller, which lets him do tech and have an advantage

Plus melee shitters are annoying so I can't blame him for being mad

Good, because they start being real negative since Matt just wants "lol random xD" shit and complain about every plot detail he missed

>Pat has a bachelor in psychology, doesn't he?
No, he dropped out. He doesn't even have a bachelor degree

Yeah, this is pretty stupid but he gets called out by Woolie for doing it for what is clearly baby personal reasons

>being so triggered you can't even enjoy Woolie's suffering

There's nothing wrong with using a specific controller, and players are entitled to leave a tournament if they feel that they won't be able to perform for whatever reason.

Honestly, I'm surprised that nobody makes controllers that are built in such a way that they can perform that tech. Even if it had to be custom made, someone could surely make some money off that.

Credit where it's due: Matt has been interesting in his last several podcast appearances. Not sure what's happened but he actually seems interested in talking about stuff other than vacations and shitty shows on Netflix.

And Clemps should be a regular. Best guest ever.

Check out their LA Noire one if you're looking to get back in. It's pretty good IMO

They are all interested in fighting games so the last podcast was great because if it.

Yeah, that's fair.
Liam took it too far, but Pat does need someone to occasionally counter balance his weirder opinions. Not a complete contrarian like Liam was, but someone who isn't afraid to play Devils advocate on occasion.

Because those controllers are genuinely broken, which allows them to perform that way in the game. It's not intended.

I am watching it, but it gets irritating sometimes when Woolie fucks up the really easy parts.

that shit's spooky, cant they make a new intro?

Sure, but a lot of things about the Melee meta were not intended. Hell, a lot of things about most meta games were not intended. And if it's something that can be performed on what is technically a legal controller, I see nothing truly wrong with it.

As long as the exploit in question doesn't allow you to break the game in half or makes the game unfair, I see nothing wrong with performing it.

Interesting. I feel like Liam being gone actually makes it funnier when Pat says some shit that Matt and Woolie just sandbag him with silence with. Usually followed up with them laughing at him.

more like Manchild McDonalds

>takes two steps forward
>rotates camera 480 degrees
>takes a step
>looks up
>takes four steps
>rotates camera 220 degrees
>takes three steps
>sees an enemy
>locks on
>takes one step

But here's the thing, if one person cannot do it due to the lack of that kind of controller while everybody else can because they have that kind, is it really fair?

You might be right. I don't listen to every podcast, and I've fallen behind recently. All I know is that they were a lot better for a while when it was just Woolie, Pat, and a guest.

The fuck is wrong with superbunnyhop

>You still have that one subset of fans that are vocal saying "guuuuys I don't want to hear about FGC"
That's like me complaining about how long their weeks get. What's wrong with some people? Even ones that take around 10-15 minutes it gets called out.

I liked when they called those fans out during the podcast

Do you know which podcast it was?

And almost all that shit is in-game. Using different hardware ensures certain players will have an advantage; whereas everyone with a copy of the game can pull off all the engine exploits.

Liam could be annoying with his defense of shit like MN9, but nobody could call Pat on his shit better.

>You haven't seen Death Note?!

>Brennan Williams

What is wrong with things being offensive?
If you're the type of person who gets pissy at something like that, chances are you're gonna come across something else you deem offensive in a day or less anyway, and forget the first thing that offended you.
So barring the few hours where you act like a moody twat, what's wrong with something being offensive?

If it is that central a mechanic, and it's easy enough to perform consistently that even players on a local level are expected to be able to perform it, then I fail to see how nobody has capitalized upon it yet.
Besides that, it doesn't seem like the tech is a huge advantage. For all we know, the only reason the guy quit when he didn't have access to his controller was because he was trying to practice this tech in a real setting, or he felt that not having the right type of controller would throw off his game and he didn't wish to play like that.

Going to Pat's Olympics example, I would say that those types of controllers should be standardized, if that were financially feasible (which it obviously isn't, which is why most venues have people bring in their own setups.)

Yeah, those were great. The podcasts are actually decent timewasters. During the summer I have a good amount of freetime so I ended up listening to their most recent ones, and the dynamic of the group actually seems better to me now that Liam's gone

But it is something that is preformed in game, it's just that the controller needs to be working in a specific way for the exploit to be feasibly performed.

The trade off was Liam's content was a lot of shit with the occasional amazing joke tossed in. I find it more entertaining without him there, speaking in terms of averages.

You'd still have to buy something entirely separate from your copy of the game. It raises the barrier of entry and lowers the skill ceiling.

I won't disagree with your personal taste, but I liked Liam's contribution to the podcasts. Nobody else has stepped in to fill that weebshit niche quite yet, and I miss it somewhat.

latest one. Woolie basically said to them "it's ok to not like fighting games, but this is a fighting game news week and we won't ignore it, go listen to the other 205 podcasts if you don't like it"

His zingers are his only redeeming value but these are far in betweem

That faggot was making pronoun jokes THIS. MONTH.

Jokes can be offensive and they should be allowed to. Also he calls it transphobic even though that has no bearing with being a trap

Transgender bullshit doesn't necessarily overlap with fantasy pronoun bullshit.

videogames?

>That faggot was making pronoun jokes THIS. MONTH.

link

Yeah, I also enjoyed that. It's nice to see them just doing their own shit without any real apologist-ness to them.

>tfw you're always defending Matt because you yourself are likely "that unfunny and whiny guy" in your circle of friends

I thought his more measured opinions on things was refreshing compared to how much the others overreacted over stupid shit sometimes.

>tfw you're always defending Liam because you're also a no life weeb with no friends

ReviewTech is good though.

>Liam is still gone and will hopefully never return

His opinions weren't measured. He was blinded by his fanboy-ness over shit. You could tell that he wanted stuff like Mighty Number 9 to be good and when the rest of the crew called it out on being shit he just turned butthurt as fuck and it was genuinely annoying to listen to

>Roy
>good

I liked Liam, but he can also be a contrarian asshole and defend terrible practices.

>Hoo? Omoshiroi. Saa, miseteā€¦ omae no G O U G I da
Woolie is the true weeb, holy shit
