It looks cheap and messy. I don't think it'll be fun to play. I don't want a game to be bad but it doesn't look like it'll get better.

I haven't seen the show or OVAs but it looks cute and fun. Hopefully there is no fanservice or fetishizing.

OVAs seem unanimously loved, they're super cute and comfy with nice school action and shenanigans. Anime seems much more divisive, I personally haven't seen it yet.

The most that happens is maybe a couple of moments of tame /u/ teasing in the form of an imminent girl on girl kiss that gets interrupted, and one girl under a spell confessing her love to another and running away afterward. Other than that, the producer was very strict with making sure any fan service shots never made it through the woodworks. Fetishizing will only happen from the fans themselves, and if you ever go to Sup Forums threads, you'll be able to see that take place.

Personally I've only seen the the first OVA, enjoyed it. I also enjoy myself a good sidescrolling beat em up, so I'm hoping the game turns out decent enough.

I get that it's level one and it's easy but something feels off with movement and attacking. I don't think it'll be fun to play. Also appears it's being sold more on it's IP instead of being enjoyable to play. Disappointed about 3D models instead of drawn animation but I know it's because it's expensive to do. The other characters targeting freaks out during the boss so another worry is if that'll get annoying somehow later.

I haven't been too involved in the game updates

I don't know about any collector's edition for the western release, but they show this in the new trailer. I'm sure they'll release more information on the western version soon enough.

Looking at the gameplay, the movement options seem pretty good, but the attacks don't seem fast enough, or very punchy. I could see it being improved by either being more chain-able, or having more attacks that move you around more, or at least some character's movesets. Seems similar to Odin Sphere.

I'm disappointed it isn't a comfy little RPG like the Game Boy Harry Potter titles, but I still really want to play it.

Dianafags keps spamming Dianakko and keep trying to assert that it was the "canon" ship. They started foaming at the mouth when the season finale of LWA had Diana and Akko defeating the big bad together

In cotnrast, Sucy Akko was also there form the start because ( a) Yoh Yoshinari is a Sucyfag and ( b) Sucy was the more dominant character in the OVAs aside from Akko

Akko/Sucy was first, had the most art, and had episode 8 as a huge ass tease.

But Akko/Diana is the designated rival ship, and the anime pushed the shit out of them.

Fun fact: Sucy was the most popular character during the OVAs while Diana was 5th or 6th place. While now she is first on multiple post series polls (with getting 35.5% of the votes and Akko having slightly less) and Sucy is a very distant 3rd (not even 15% of the votes)

There was an episode where the main villain was literally a manifestation of Sucy's gay feelings for Akko.
