VR/ Virtuix Omni/ Vive/etc

Finally got my omni in a couple days ago and have been testing it with the vive.

Does it work?

The last thing you want when playing games for hour is constant physical exercise, especially the game is calibrated to offer surrealistic movement speed.
Just standing up for so long is a problem. Imagine having to aim.

Can one wear glasses underneath a VR headset?
I'm practically blind without them and I can't into contacts.

with the limited content supporting it naively it works very well, just starting to get into emulating keystrokes & thumbsticks so I don't have enough of an opinion on those modes yet

one thing I learn from playing VR is how to make ginger tea

I think most let them fit, can't vouch for it being comfortable though.

I've done it with my friends occulus, but I've found when they're properly calibrated I didn't need my glasses. I'm extremely shortsighted, no idea if there's issue with longsight.

Do you find that it solves the "lurching" sensation that VR has when you have to walk using a joystick, i.e. Minecraft? Does it give a believable illusion of walking through a room space?

Same. I only played Laser Tag once but I remember it very vividly. The maze, the smoke, the flashing lights, the sci-fi looking gear we wore, the satisfying "zap" sound when I pulled the trigger. It was a friend's birthday party and we had pizza and arcade games too.

yes you can, unless you have an obnoxiously large glass frames, you can also get those lens adapters that you can insert straight into the hmd itself via thrid party sellers
