NPD reports 256k physical and digitally for US.

Media Create sales for Japan (physical) currently sit at 170k.

Europe sales don't have numbers though it did premier at 2nd place in its opening week being stopped by Horizon Zero Dawn, which had a large discount in the region when Arms launched.

Based on what we know, that brings ARMS to a respectable 426k, which is pretty phenominal for a new IP in the fighting game genre.

This is a new IP and it definitely didn't have the install base of PS4 + Xbones + PC(I bought tekken 7 for PC). That said thought splatoon 1 sold relatively better.

Tekken is nowhere near the prestige of cod, and it has sold well in a very long time so no especially considering the heavy advertising this game got.

Top selling fighting game series right now are SF, Injustice(Cause cape shit fans from other mediums), mortal kombat and Tekken.

And 2 of those did not launch this year. Obviously tekken but for this year its second to cape shit.

Tekken hasn't been a top selling franchise for a very long time like I said, hell blaze blue/guilty gear probably sold more than any tekken did until recently.

And like I said, this new ip had a lot of advertisements out for it, in addition to a sparse game lineup.

That would be insane considering ASW's poorfaggotry. Guilty Gear Xrd sign got developed by a tiny 24 man team with daisuke once again co-doing everything from designing, directing to composing the game. I feel very confident that tekken 7 had a much larger team and budget considering all the advertising that was is around for tekken 7.


Blazblue is ASW's guilty gear reject supposedly only created because ASW was not allowed to make another GG entry at the time so I doubt that gets more love than the favorite.
