When I tried to play SMT, right in the beginning of the game, when the rain is falling, my FPS went to shit, every other part was okish but there, specifically, was terrible.

PCSX2 might be a garbage emulator with compatibility issues out the ass, but it's still better than the state of N64 emulation.

You must have a really shit PC then. DDS runs at full speed on very modest hardware.

Should be more than enough to run PCSX2 if you have it overclocked. I was using a 1090T for a while earlier this year, overclocked to 4GHz, and had no problems with PCSX2 or Dolphin. Even the most demanding stuff on the latter like The Last Story ran at full speed.

PCSX2 is literally built for and has plugins catered to FFXII.

Like I said incompetence or shit computer, it's not a perfect emulator but all things considered it's decent and honestly it's not complicated at all to spend a few minutes to tweak some things. Also give me examples of these graphical glitches because chances are it's most likely fixed by now

Most of the worthwhile PS2 games run fine on a modded PS3. I have a high end PC and PCSX2 but I rarely use it because I'm lazy.

I use the shit out of Dolphin though. Now that's a 10/10 emulator.

I'm not shitting on the emulator. I think it works fine for most games, but it's not perfect. Is it not fair to point out a game is NOT emulated perfectly if it has sound and camera issues? Especially after someone claims the exact opposite.

Tons of games like DMC3 or MGS3 have unbearable input lag. .Hack//GU has no shadows in hardware mode. Steambot Chronicles runs at unplayable FPS regardless of rig.

Nah for a while in burnout takedown the sky was black on every stage. Honestly didn't bother me at all. I don't think Burnout 3 even has any night stages desu.

I tried 3, ran slow for me. Didn't try 4.

I'm fine with the game not working 100%. If I wanted to play it that badly I would probably just ignore the issues (the camera issues used to be a lot worse actually so it's probably going to get fixed at some point) or hook up that piece of shit hardware again.

At least N64 emulation is showing signs of progress. PCSX2 is always going to be a garbage hacky shitfest with awful coding, though. No one wants to step up and rewrite that trainwreck.
