How is cemu with multithreading? I got myself a ryzen 5 1600 not too long ago and while dolphin works a-o-kay from multiple reports I haven't heard much from word of mouth regarding CEMU. Yes I know

Well that's a shame. R5 isn't as good as an i7 on per-core performance so I might not get great results, but at least I still have an actual wii u to play the games without HD enhancements

CEMU uses 8 threads for cache compiling and 4 for emulation although the 4th isn't used that much

Pretty sure Intel and AMD work fine for the cpu. He said for gpu. Which is where Nvidia has issues and AMD, so far as I know, is fine.

Emulators tend to be extremely cpu intensive. Makes me feel better about pairing a 6600k overclocked to 4.5 with a 4gb 470. Was going to get a 1070 originally, but my phone kicked the bucket and fucked my budget. Should have doubled my money on it during the eth craze, but oh well.

It's nice to see all the progress on emulators recently.
PS3 was the last console I expected to be able to emulate due to "infinite power of Cell", but at this point my 2013 i5 3470 at stock values could run Peace Walker HD at 8-20 fps in gameplay parts.
Yes, performance is laughable even compared to the regular PSP version, but it only shows the progress.
Was surprised how well the game run, the only problem was ugly fog effect in tutorial and Mother Base, but it didn't break the overall visuals.

Can confirm the audio thing, game crashes sometimes too, it runs pretty well at 4k tho.

Emulating remasters is a strange thing. On one hand eventually they may run better than they do on PCSX2 but on the other hand you don't have as many mod or graphics options. Like the KH Remasters for instance, they look pretty damn playable already but those games have a ton of mods on PCSX2. Okami is another one. Do I play it at super sonic speed on PCSX2 or at 30fps via RPCS3.

Once they implement resolution increasing, RPCS3 version should be no brainer I guess.

To this day there are people who consider definitive experience of Peace Walker as PPSSPP, even though the UI looks like ass, use lower resolution textures, have no real dual analog support and PSP controls instead of HD version with proper controls, properly working online and properly working 60 fps.

They do, you can force shaders and 'cheat' codes that do a lot of cool stuff. KH in particular has a ton of mods.

As for PW, the UI looks like ass either way, graphics are the same, analog stick does work, and you have a much higher render resolution so it's simple trade offs. And the 60fps patch is fine.

Performance sucks on AMD. I get 30 fps almost all the time with an i3-6100 and a GTX 1070. The game was unplayable when I had an RX 460.

It does the same thing.

Gamepad works fine for classic controls, but if you have to view the Wii U gamepad screen, you have to press or hold a hotkey that covers up the main screen

You have binary "move in direction" on PSP while analog sensitivity on PS360.

Notice how they're not showing witch time because the emulator glitches horribly when using it. This has been the mainstay bug for a while and there aren't any improvements.
I bet SSB still refuses to start with a controller plugged in.
