Just have fun, user. Leifthrasir fixed all the problems the original had. Perhaps a bit too well since it's pretty easy now.

Also, Socrates is the big bad.

I only just started but this is already my favorite main menu of all games

I also forgot to mention that Gwen is best girl.

Pick hard, don't pick classic mode
Order meals frequently, you can even carry some
Take rests between the stories, otherwise you'll probably fed up
Check the timeline if you get lost in the story

I just got vanillaware fanbook in mail a few minutes ago, and here's this thread. Give me a moment I'll dump some pics

This is correct.
Literally the perfect wife.

>Perhaps a bit too well since it's pretty easy now.
How much harder was the original? It's pretty weird how normal difficulty is really easy but hard feels just right.

Mercedes a best. Those thighs are a miracle.

Leifthrasir has the original mode as well, give it a shot and tell me how far you get before turning it off. The original was a genuinely bad game, mechanically. Every single action outside of jumping and walking needing POW was miserable. It clearly didn't know what kind of game it wanted to be. VW outdid itself with this remake though.

It should be illegal to be so perfect desu.

Food porn.

For a second there, I thought she was lewdly leaking.

She's a pure valkyrie, user. There's no leaking to worry about.

I'm about to play this too. I finished Muramasa and all the expansions last week. Is the game play similar? Would you said Odin Shpere is better than Muramasa? I love stories and games that take place in Edo period Japan so I might not get as attached as I did to Muramasa.

TUMBLRED

Mercedes has the most boring playstyle

And the best girl is the last one

Alice is very cute!

>skeletits

Isn't it missing the lovers arcana?

She's bretty fun in Leifthrasir

Try sitting on the chair without holding anything and hold down

Oops, missed it. One of my favorite pictures

t. furfag

Prepare to grind through 4 generic shounen archtypes before you can play as the best character.

velvet a shit and a slut

It's okay when Japan does it

13 sentinels fucking WHEN

TGS

Who cares if it's cute?

Gwen is shit and literally retarded. Velvet and Mercedes are better

A beautiful but repetitive game.

>The Fool actually has all the symbolism of the fool arcana
>tisgonbgud.gif
>everything else is just generic waifu shit with high arcana names slapped on it for some reason
into the trash it goes

Poor Gradriel

It really fits him

>How much harder was the original?
The thing about the original is that you had to manage your POW meter for every single attack, not just special attacks (there are no "special attacks" in the original, just magic attacks). That meant you can't just attack nonstop because if your POW gets to zero your character becomes stunned while it recharges leaving you extremely vulnerable (you culd asborb phozons or whatever their called that are near by to decrease the stun, though). So you had think about your engagements and manage your pace, as opposed to the remake where its usually just do the craziest combo you can. But because these side scrolling games resonate so much with the cuhrayzee crowd, they can't stand the old one's gameplay being a little slower and more methodical. The problem comes that the game is so easy that its just a combo exhibition to anyone whose played through a lot of DMC and fightans. Hardmode to me was an okay fix, but didn't really make it too much more difficult and just turned bosses into HP sponges.

That said, the inventory, alchemy, and food system of the original its beyond painful and time consuming in comparison. Also there were no real platforming elements in the original, and the bosses were a lot more repetitive.

I know you can turn on some modifications in the included original version that comes with Liefrasir that can modify some things to make the original version a little more updated, but I just wish I could have the original slow game

fix your shit taste

Neat, thanks!

Reminder that he did literally everything wrong.
Another annoying thing about the original are the FPS drops in certain areas. Skeletits was queen of FPS drop.

You can map every move to any input. This includes motions like quarter circles, half circles, zigzags.

..but I just wish I could have the original slow game with the rest of the upgrades*

fuck man im really tempted to get this game but i need to save money. Is it really worth it? I just bought a ps4 last week and im just playing bloodborne

Pick it up if you enjoy dramatic irony.

It's a fun game and absolutely gorgeous but as other anons have said it does get repetitive so it's best played in short bursts

OS needed things like pic related.

I don't mind a game with slow and methodical gameplay but after playing Leifthrasir the original game seems pretty jank in comparison.

It is repetitive but still an improvement over Muramasa and Dragon's Crown.

I think its one of the best 2d side scrollers to come out in years, and it is the standard every developer should use for a remake. Gorgeous art, smooth gameplay, and a nice story. Definitely can be too easy at parts though, and inventory management is still a bitch even with the new system (though not nearly as bad and way more manageable -- just feels like sometimes you get too much drops but at least you get a bottomless storage box that is easily accessible).

Might be a nice change of pace from Bloodbourne.

>Xa slipped a Sadida into the artbook
Cheeki breeki

DC, sure, but I don't know about Muramasa especially if we're counting the DLC as well. Regardless, a coop Muramasa/OS would be awesome. Only thing DC did right.

One of the few games that actually has good dub

OS would benefit much more from co-op/arcade mode than Muramasa.

Muramasa was even more braindead easy until like the last 5% of the game that you only get to long after you finish it. At least Dragon's Crown had real good variety in gameplay with the classes, very unique scenarios involving teamwork, and far more replay value.

So you haven't played the DLC.

>buys game
>doesn't know shit about it
>asks if wasted money

The fuck is wrong with Sup Forums? Why do I see so many of these threads?

For the main endings - sure, but killing the bosses from other routes again for the alternate endings was very tedious. Maybe I'm misremembering things though, it's being a while

No because I was very unimpressed with the main game. I did look up some videos and its nice they added other characters.

...

Cool. How much did it cost?

€30 plus shipping. Right now everything's out of stock unfortunately

Got Murumasa too. But Dragons Crown is delisted from the EU store for some reason

Being Belial is suffering.
