But BDO is basically a single player game. At least FFXIV forces you to interact with others in raids and dungeons.

-the game has terrible performance issues, forget having stable 60fps
-balance is a foreign concept, new classes are always OP as fuck and are then nerfed back to being shit.
-the combat gets casualised or bypassed more with every patch. More and more attacks are becoming undodgable unblockable one shot aoes.
-the graphics really aren't they good. The design is nice at first sure but the moment you look at literally anything closer there's like 7 different flaws

I thought the point of modern MMOs was sinking time into them for the prestige items, satisfying gear treadmill and a sense of community. You have none of these starting out, it's just the taste of a fresh game.
People who try out new or less popular MMOs are just grasping at straws to try and find a worthy timesink.
But those MMOs usually don't last past the "fresh" period because they lack polish, endgame or alternative content.
And after this period people usually go back to their old MMO where they have already sunk alot of time into and are familiar with, which shows on their characters and inventory.
Its a classic sunken cost fallacy and people are just jaded that WoW is still king after all this time and no other game has managed to top it.

Basically if you don't like WoW or FFXIV (which is just WoW for weebs), and you're not fucking retarded (GW2, ESO) all you have left is korean p2w trash or dead games.
You're just shit out of luck with this genre if so.
