I was happy with 1-3. Never got into 4. Don't know why but it seemed very strange and different to me. Played 6 just to see if I could ever get back into it and i didnt feel like it was RE at all.

Its a horror franchise user no matter what way you slice it.
7 was the right direction after all the action stuff.
But I wont mind another action RE some tome down the line.
I don't mind 6 but you can't act like RE is not horror first.

6 is objectively the worst resident evil even when played with a friend. I would recommend giving 4 another shot, it's very much different but if you can look past that its a fantastic game. If you liked 4 pick up 5 and play it with a friend, not as good as 4 by a ways but still good co-op.

This is what i'm talking about, RE fans are so deluded. The franchise is horror-"themed", that's it. It was never about the scares beside s a few closet and window jumpscares.


Then you have movies continuously coming out, and guess what, they're not even attempting to be anything "horror" based. The series has one hell of an identity crisis. One trying to be it's own stylish action-horror thing, and two also trying to pander to RE1 fags. The two are so fucking far apart from each other, it's actually hilarious.

I'll never understand the love for rev2. It's down there with 6 and gaiden for me.
