I wanna play it now.

It's free to emulate and there was an english fan-translation that makes the game playable for non-weebs (called Project Nemo), just make sure you get the JP version of the game, not the western one.

Pretty much any multiplayer game despite what autists here will say.

I've never really understood the appeal of city builders. Obviously this will sound like an oversimplification, but it seems like it's just build so that you can make money to expand to make more money to expand more.

It's that you can build your own city
>just build so that you can make money to expand to make more money to expand more
That's called an economy and it's the catalyst for you to build your own city

Isaac. Anybody else still obsessed with this goddamn game?

to me they are cool because of the sense of progression. From starting with just a few roads, to having a big ass city. plus, you get better with each city you build, so it can be fun to plan out the city layout ahead of time, and be a bit more ambitious with each new city.

not this boring test of patience and stamina

holy shit that looks good

That is the appeal. The same appeal of 4x or RTS games. It's the same sense of progression and rewards you get from most other games, just with more thought put into doing it. And with that, more reward.

Similar appeal for people who make little model towns in their basement, only the miniature painting is replaced by economics and logistics simulation. It's just so satisfying to look over the little city you built.

Are the DLCs worth it?

Super Mario Bros. 3, Super Mario World.

When they're 50% then yeah maybe.

The only good one is the snow DLC that gives you trams. I think After Dark might have some alright stuff too.

okay, I'll hold up till then.
