Are you getting these?

Left: Eh, maybe.
Right: Absolutely! It's the main reason for me getting a Switch in the first place.
The Yoshi looks both beautiful and boring at the same time. Also Tearaway already did the "paper and cardboard" style and it was a fantastic game, feels like Nintendo is a little late.
Kirby looks amazing, no problem here.
Yoshi's Story on N64 did paper/cardboard aesthetic far before that game did, user
I'll probably get the yoshi game, if the kirby game is like the last two on the 3DS i'll skip it.
Kirby? Sure, it should have a hard mode and the game in itself looks great.
Yoshi? No, fuck that, aesthetics are amazing but I can't handle Yoshi games.
True, but the technology at the time wasn't enough to obtain the realism needed to feel like you're really in this world.
Also, in the new Yoshi they're clearly showing that the setting is made of recycled products, where Story was still very clean.
Kirby is the only reason I'm getting a Switch.
No. The Yoshi game looks so bland. It looks like a tech demo.
Same goes for the Kirby game. It looks like every Kirby game since RtDL.
That's neat and all but I want Adeleine back
Why do you want a random kindergarten back?
No humans allowed
I want ability-combining back
I'll get the roms later and hack them with randomizers and cool romhacks.
Probably. The last Yoshi and Kirby games were pretty good.
Isn't it already back?
Already preordered tbqh
Yoshi? Absolutely not.
Kirby? Absolutely.
As much as I love both those adorable fucks, enough games is enough. They both need a break and they certainly seem like filler titles.
i know thats anri okita but source?
I'll need to see what the Yoshi multiplayer is like.
Wooly World was pretty meh, except for the fucking amazing multiplayer that was ridiculously fun with a friend.
And Kirby is a system seller for me so of course I'll get it.
They are back. Did you watch the trailer?
Kirby definitely. Wooly World was fun, this Yoshi looks slower paced though. PC games have been so boring to me lately I'm in desperate need for some nintendo.
>Kirby 25th anniversary game
>filler tittle
She's not in kindergarten. And we haven't had paint as an ability in ages, she'd make a great rep partner for it. Plus she's in the wallpaper of that trailer, so they haven't -completely-forgotten about her.
This, baby.
Right after the trailer during E3 I went out and grabbed a Switch.
For a second when the trailers appeared back to back I thought they were the same game staring both Kirby and Yoshi.
Kinda says it all, neither of them appear to have any sort of actual personality or identity. Kirby has been stuck in that hole for decades now. At least we get another game with Whispy Woods in it. Thats good is'nt it.
No
Why it seems that no one likes Yoshi?
I haven't played a Kirby game since the N64 one.
Did combining powers become a staple of the series?
I just want a game that captures the feel of Superstar, the last one was "we want the gurren lagann audience" that had me cringing for the final fight.
Nope, only for 64. However, the new game for switch has ability mixing from what we've seen, it just works a little differently. You have to get your partner to enhance your ability to mix it, like having a fire partner spit fire at kirby's sword to get fire sword kirby.
I'll have to buy Yoshi, it's the "girlfriend" game. Zelda is one player, Snipper Clippers was burned through in a couple weekends, Mario Kart only holds water for about an hour... so yoshi comes in to save the rainy evening really. Thats what Wooly World did, why would this one be any different? I'm getting sick of games not having multiplayer too, I know everyone has online friends, but jesus christ would it break the game for Odyssey to have a second player? Daisy chain luigi to me so we dont have to keep trading stars... or I guess fucking moons now.
not a single good game since the first Yoshi's Island
It's almost like you havent played the recent games.
The Kirby one looks nice. Yoshi games have gotten too baby though.
Pretty much this . Wooly World was ok but good lord that soundtrack made me fell asleep. Not even Epic Yarn's soundtrack was that boring.
Yoshi's Woolly World was casual trash. Literal 3 year old could beat that game.
Yoshi's New Island is just straight up trash. I hope you're not defending that game.
Any other recent games?
yoshi doesn't have that many games
I'll buy Kirby even though it seems to have taken Bokujou Monogatari's place as "that series that was once pretty cool but now keeps making stale bland rehashes over and over again and I keep buying it in hopes that it'll be good this time" now that Trio of Towns was somehow actually good.
Yoshi's gimmick with the pseudo-3D looks cool but the egg throw mechanic never clicked with me when I've played past ones, and even then only the original YI and YWW were particularly decent beyond that. Maybe if it's on sale.
>doesn't even come out for the 25th anniversary
>the game that does still has no news whatsoever
Yoshi looks like fucking shit, have you seen the gameplay footage from E3?
It's basically a rehash of the last game except now a bad camera is a "feature".
>look, it's blocking your view, isn't that so fucking neat~?
Kirby looks great, though.
2d platformers bore the hell out of me. I cant play any new ones. Unless they are actually a challenge. DK Tropical Freeze was fun because that game was actually hard. Spare me the New Super Mario Bros, Yoshi, and Kirby games. They are just so fucking boring.
they can also power up with combos as well.
You have to push as hard as you want the game to push back. If you want a challenge out of NSMB/Yoshi/Kirby, you've got to 100% them, grab secrets, and play challenge/trial modes.
I could see why somebody wouldn't be enthused to 100% a game they don't really enjoy, though.
DS was Mediocre, Yoshi's New Island was garbage and Wooly World was alright.
Kirby games never look interesting enough to justify buying, Yoshi at least has good platforming.
Surely you could not say that having seen a single trailer for Robobot (the best Kirby game rivaling SSU in my opinion).
Kirby is more for rip and tearing though enemies and choosing your own style of play.
Yoshi is a more traditional platformer.
Yoshi yes, Kirby fuck no
Kirby was never good
Yoshi looks fun as fuck. If its as good as wooly world I'll be happy
Yoshi probably not and Kirby eventually. Neither of them seem like stellar games.
It's nice to see Yoshi at least getting some sort of love. He got fucked way too many times after Yoshis Island. I feel like the whole 3D cardboard theme seems a bit stale and not that impressive, but Woolly World showed some definite potential so should be good. Kirby looks like, well, Kirby. Can't say I'm shocked by the announcement and honestly, for a 25th anniversary, it seems pretty lazy.
