Why does everything in this piece of shit weeb grindfest look like fucking porcelain?

Why does everything in this piece of shit weeb grindfest look like fucking porcelain?
Why does every nip game have this shitty artstyle?
Why do people like it?
I'm actually curious, please explain.

lol, fag

Why is slut glam so great?

...

>grindfest
>FFXIV
Nigga, what?

Quick before mods prune this shit! Two genji accessories in three weeks or genji belt in two?

>Buy any of them
>They will drop this week for you
How does it make you feel?

I've already lost three times to my coplayers. I already gave up on chests

Like all other MMO's released since wow, there is 1 thing to do. Grind shit. Fill up your little bars. How can people stand it?

They probably go play other games when they get bored then come back later when they want to do MMO things again.

You say that as if it was a bad thing.

>cell shading
Don't nips understand how textures work?

>Crit/DH gear
>Can only beat O4S SSS once every 2 or 3 runs
>Get the 340 pants of creation and change my meld up to go DH/SkS/Det
>Beat SSS with 10 sec to spare
Shit, you guys weren't kidding about Crit being worthless

I'm kinda new to this game, most of the rotation guides I've seen online are for level 70 characters with all abilities unlocked.
Is there a site that will tell me what the best rotation for a given early or mid-level is?
I know that it probably doesn't matter as no one gives a fuck about this outside of raids, but you know, having information never hurts.
Is my only option to calculate based on potency values?

You won't get most of your skills til late game. It's a non-issue before then. Seriously. Just do your 123 combo until you get another skill at level 45

i have the same problem with it that prevents me from getting into it, it just looks off. which is funny considering its a video game and shouldn't matter, but everything feels alien, even the human dimensions feel wrong. like look at this lanky plastic looking fuck

Because it has Final Fantasy slapped on it, and you can play as a catgirl.

ff14 is a ridiculous grindfest (for new players) if you want to actually achieve anything in the game

>catgirl
considering how nier sold because le ebin butts, not surprised at all

The game is shit unless you pick ninja

NIN is fun but at the same time not really.

But it's not. You can MSQ all the way through 1-50 storyline. The only grind I guess is the post 50 prior to SB in terms of quests, and that isn't even that bad if you are down with the storyline which decided to get its shit together..

>Tfw you try to learn a new opener but muscle memory kicking and make you fuck up everytime
Humans are robots

>Blizztard
>calls other games shitty artstyles
LOL

First you have to do the godawful MSQ. Put the cake on the table 3 times. GO here go there. Kill 3 mobs here teleport back see more useless written MSQ. ETCCCCCCCCC BEfore you can even think about grinding anything.

who else hasnt melded a single piece of gear since the meme was introduced in hw?

It really isn't. Try harder with your glamours

Whats good starter class for FFXIV?

That was ff11 but not 14

PLD, WHM, BLM

Why would you gimp yourself willfully?
Especially with the new materias.

...

What are those classes?

>Why does every nip game have this shitty artstyle?
But that's wrong. FFXI actually had a good art direction. Dunno how the fuck Square Enix managed to fuck up what was supposed to be a sequel. FFXIV's art direction is horrid glossy plastic and mattes

Paladin, White Mage, Black Mage for tank, heal, dps

In all honestly, I'm glad they went with a philosophy like this.
Being able to play other games or have a life on the side without feeling as if you were left behind because you aren't playing every-single-day feels great.

Yeah pretty much haven't bothered with it at all. Not doing hardcore raiding so don't see the point.

I dunno, do you eat food and use infusion potions for everything?

How can they possibly justify a full price sub for bare bones content then?

There's that inherent weeb creepiness that this game has about it that really keeps me from playing it. It seems like every person who plays this game is a lonely, depressed, fat NEET who spends all day in a tiny room with anime posters all over it watching anime and playing FF14 ERP servers all day on his computer.

stuff like doesn't help the game's image at all too

Materia is super cheap. You can just use grade 5..It drops like candy from the level 70 dungeons Not like you're upgrading your gear super fast at 70 either.

>200-400 hours worth of MSQs alone
>15 DoW/M jobs
>ex primals, tons of raids and dungeons
>bare bones content

There's stuff to do, crafting, gathering, questing, pvp, glam hunting, hunts, achievements.
But I guess for you those aren't content.

Nothing in this game is grindy unless you want to level other class or farm mounts/glamour

So I take it you don't use HQ food and infusions with everything you do? Why? Too poor or something?

>400+ quests just to access end-game content.
>Or just give us 25 dorrars and we let you skip eehe

The game is a fucking abomination. The ff franchise is ded

>learning to play Bard after maining melee DPS since 2.1

How do I stop standing in melee range?

>Oh no, I have to actually play the game!
>Fuck you SE!
>SE:"Okay, here pay us and you can skip"
>Oh no, I have to actually pay to skip the game!
>Fuck you SE!

A lot of normies play FFXIV. Just avoid Sup Forums FCs and ERP servers and you should be fine

Talk about current content only please. Yes, the "story" is not going to be worth a sub, everyone got through that in like a week.

Questing? What questing? Are you talking about the main story, or the shitty wow fetch quests that are probably already done by simply leveling up to 70? Wow amazing content. Oh boy, achievements. Kill 10000000000000 mobs, what great content. PVP is basially PVE, everyone go whack those ice cubes. Gathering couldn't be any more brain dead. Go whack these rocks for a couple hours. Then there's crafting, which is somewhat interesting, until you figure out the master rotation and just macro it.

Because OP this game is a theme park styled mmo
It's the one where there's nothing to do besides rush to end game content, pick your poison either slay 10 goat monster asses via Fates or do the same dungeons 1000s of times after there aren't anymore main quests to do

Nigga if you wanna poopsock a game, just play XI or something. XIV was literally made for the casual audience, and there's nothing wrong with that. You're simply complaining about consuming content too fast and you're burning out

>Summer event
>Release the same item that's already been in the game since release, just make it dyable
>Don't even get the arms/hat
>Only 1 new dungeon to grind coming in 4.1

Fucking kek the 'new stuff' in 4.1 better be fucking amazing for all this shit.

We know it won't be.

the sub keeps underage and 3rd worlders out
which is very nice

Sup Forums - Blizzard & Sonic

>Questing? What questing? Are you talking about the main story, or the shitty wow fetch quests that are probably already done by simply leveling up to 70? Wow amazing content.
Let's ignore all the goddamn sidequests with storyline of their own and world building.

>Oh boy, achievements. Kill 10000000000000 mobs, what great content.
Let's ignore all the achievements behind side quest, PVP, gathering/crafting, trials, and pretty much everything else

>PVP is basially PVE, everyone go whack those ice cubes.
You have never played in the Feast, that's much is obvious.

>Gathering couldn't be any more brain dead. Go whack these rocks for a couple hours
Gathering is gathering, some people hate it, other like me love it, if that's not your cup of tea that's alright but dismissing it just because you can't get into it is dumb.

>Then there's crafting, which is somewhat interesting, until you figure out the master rotation and just macro it.
And who's forcing you to macro it exactly?
Can't you keep doing it manually?

>Consuming content too fast when there is so little to do

ERP if you want a preview at FFXIV's target audience go to FFXIVG on /vg/

It's just a bunch of ugly sad fucks

>why do people like a highly subjective thing when I don't like it
Because people are not you.

>It's just a bunch of ugly sad fucks
Why? I know a lot of normal people who play XIV

>ERP

Why the fuck would someone pay $15 to ERP? There's better places to find it than on a game with one of the shittiest modern character creators in an MMO.

>"Normal"
Desperation it's basically a prettier second life for them
Same target audience too, they log in all day just to talk to anybody

Prettier than second life? If we're talking SL back in 2006, maybe.

Check this out I took a picture of some 'courtesan' I saw on FFXIV. Like, how do you fuck up this badly when you barely have any character options?

>Doing leveling roulette as healer for cluster
>Sohm al normal
>Team was a RDM that hardcasted veraero and verthunder, a DRG who never touched the chaos thrust combo, and a DRK in shitty white gear who never had mana after the first 10 second of the fight (never used siphon strike/souleater), they all sucked at dodging aoe/doing mechanics
There was only one death in the run but the cluster was not worth that
Fuck healing

What makes FFXIV attractive to "ugly sad fucks"? Because all my normie friends (male and female) play FFXIV, even if they are casual/don't do savage. You seem to be projecting

>Team was a RDM that hardcasted veraero and verthunder,
how are people this retarded. was he level 70?

>Typically play a healer while my friend plays a tank
>We switch it up finally and they go healer while I play a tank
>Somehow switching to the healing role has made them 120% retarded and I'm dying while they stone-spam.
>Figure on leveling a DPS while they figure this shit out.
>We do fucking Sastasha.
>Tank dies on the final boss because they didn't get a single heal.

I'm pretty convinced now that healing is the only thing that requires 2 braincells to rub together.

I didn't check, all i remember is they were in that white and red robe

I doubt you're still around, but generally if there's some sort of rotation pre-50-70 its all there in the combo actions. Read your tooltips and see which skills come off of one another. A general rule of thumb is to put up your dots and debuffs, then follow whatever path gives the most potency, deviating from that to refresh your buffs/debuffs/dots.

What's the best place to level from 60 to 70?

he has no friends so he can only see ffxiv's community through the gloryhole of degeneracy

shit taste weebs

Is it better to play Tank or Healer for the queues?

Both have low queue

Crit becomes better than Direct hit when you can meld enough crit/dh so the sum equals 3500 in total.
Otherwise stick with Det/DH.

What's the most brain-dead job of the six Tank/Healer jobs? I already play an RDM for DPS.

PLD for tanks.
Healers are pretty much equal.

the mods are completely correct to remove these threads. you guys have a general, use it.

tell the mods to clean up the general then

Hardcasting verthunder in your starter is the way to got, though.

how old is vex? was breaking a chair really necessary?

Because weebs like anything japanese. They just want to pretend to be cute catgirls and do 'epic' stories where good beats evil and they're the fated protagonist that will save Eorzea!!!!

Weebs are retarded. Combine that with MMO players, which are also retarded, both fandoms have been eating the same shit for decades now and liking it, and what you get is FFXIV.

Most MMO players don't want to have fun so much as they want to feel like they're progressing towards something in a virtual world whilst talking to other people. That's it. Why do you think cancerous, repetitive leveling and gear treadmills, and raid endgames are still all you see in MMOs?

MMOs never got a chance to truly shine, thanks to WoW. They probably never will.

PLD.

Is spamming the highest level dungeon available REALLY the best way to get XP for a healer? Because I really, really don't want to do Aurum Vale ever again.

If you're in the 15-60 range and have a job at a higher level already, PotD is the way to go. Otherwise, yes, dungeons.

>Most MMO players don't want to have fun so much as they want to feel like they're progressing towards something in a virtual world whilst talking to other people.
It's almost like people have different definitions of fun.

>two and a half months more of the same shit with nothing to do

>he doesnt unsheathe his gun as a machinist anytime he uses sprint

>machinist

sorry I play good jobs only

They were hard casting it through-out the fight

Is it viable to have 4 RDMs in a static?

Not really. Your LB builds up slower for having duplicate jobs and the RDMs do not benefit from that melee dps increase buff because RDM spells and melee attacks are magic based.

I usually only want to play an mmo one or two months out of the year so this works for me.

As a BRD main, in Omega Savage basically every fight needs you stacked at melee range so just don't bother learning not to stand there

why can't you people ever make a thread about this game that isn't under a negative pretense?

are you all that worried about the thread getting deleted

Because if they aren't flamewar shitposts, they get deleted by the mods for some reason.

Seems like the mod don't delete the threads bashing the game but always the one talking positively or talking about the mechanic of the game.

Mods delete the thread if you have FFXIV in the subject or comment field of the OP. But if you post a FFXIV picture and say something controversial then mods don't give two shits. It's like the "what video games let's be ________" threads with a sexually suggestive image or webm. Those threads don't get deleted instantly, they stay up for at least hundreds of posts until they get deleted when people start posting porn or gore.

nah, go 3 melee + bard

Ideally you want 2 melee and 2 ranged with no duplicate jobs for progression but once you got things on farm then go with whatever.

>Make a gameplay discussion FFXIV thread
>"GO BACK TO /vg/"
>Make a blatant flamewar thread
>"That's okay"

Mods for their priorities out of whack
