BF3 was trash though

Why don't you like BF3?

Where in the world of fuck could this kind of stupid orange lighting on the guy be coming from? This is stupid as fuck.

I literally can't remember anything about BF3 apart from the buggy ass beta/alpha, feels bad.

spontaneous combustion

Worst game in the franchise, worse than even fucking Hardline of all things. What were they thinking?
>muh blue filter so reallistic
>muh lens glare
>muh portable suns
>muh supression so immersive
>muh shitty map designs with flags positioned in a straight line with lots of corridors because vehicles are too hard for casuals
Only kids still play this nowadays which goes to tell what was the audience they were targeting for this game.

BF4 and BC2 were better than this

>Be me
you need to go back you fucking retard

this, all i remember from bf3 was the beta

Damn I kinda miss playing battlefield 3 already. I remember running and using the pp2000 like a idiot around noshar canals. Most of my favorite moments were from noshar canals. The snipers always gave me that spooky anxiety feel every time I see them shinning their light on me.

Look at the streaks. All vehicle lights.
This one is probably a turn signal from a vehicle right in front.

If four didnt have the cancer launch that it did it probably be seen as the best

>Be me

are you though?

BC2 had the worst base rape in anygame I've ever played

>get hungry
>"hey ill brb getting corn soup"
>tell my cousin to hold down the grenade button
>literally seconds after i left,a guy knifes me
>grenade instantly explodes on him
>only know because cousin is laughing hard across the house while i pour down milk

fucking this, it's unbelievable how bad DICE is at map-balance. Almost all other FPS prevent base rape yet DICE fucking passively encourages it

>be me
>been playing bc2 since launch
>pick up 3
>play it for about 2 weeks
>go back to bc2
>still play bc2
>never look back

git gud

>trying to learn jets
>flying around like a big ol faggot
>fighter suddenly on tail
>start death spin
>oh shit two fighters on tail now
>break from death spin and just fast as I can away
>catching stray shots from the pursing fighters
>panic because I am not good with jets yet
>eject
>immediately deploy chute and start slowly floating to saftey
>watch abandoned jet soar off into sunset
>two pursuing jets blow past me in my chute
>they are still unloading into my empty plane
>they close in in a tight V
>Empty plane explodes
>fighters collide with each other
>both instantly explode killing them both
>I haplessly continue to float down into the ocean unscathed

>battlefield 3 was almost 6 years ago
I still remember being so hyped.

>bad company 2 was 7 year ago
what the FUCK

I could write a book about all the great moments I had with some of the people I met.
But the game was trash. It took them 1 year and a half to make it playable.

...

>be me

thanks for the (You)s
>captcha: Volvo Nissan

My favourite moments are bombing tanks with C4s and taking out helicopters. Bonus point for vehicle hogs getting mad

>Sup Forums hasn't been The Vidya for around 5 years now.

I still google vidya expected to get Sup Forums on the first page whenever I'm not on my computer.

BF3 - squad rush
BF4 - Defuse
BF1 - War Pigeons
Just gets worse every time. At least squad rush had something going for it with the infantry focus, time and ticket limitations. The maps in 3 layout wise is better than 4 and 1 as they choose to go for aesthetic or vehicle focus more than on foot playability which cuts out the enjoyment for me.

I liked that one rush map where you got to a certain point which had this huge jump you and your team had to parachute down

I only played Op. Metro Rush/Conq

Operation Metro grinder maps were shitfests that I quite enjoyed

youtube.com/watch?v=FOaGhE_sejI

I miss Damavand Peak Rush

4 and 1 just have the most horrendous map philosophy and design in any recent AAA FPS I've seen

They need to stop jerking their dick at how good their engine is and making maps retarded HUEG with no cover anywhere and objectives in poor defensive locations

>Be me

NO SHIT

>tfw /bfg/ is kill yet shit like katawa shoujo is on its 3346th thread

what went wrong

Grand Bazaar is ultimate meat grinder kino

weebs

Battlefield 1 turned out to be shit and everyone got bored being max level in Battlefield 4

absolutely disgusting

>Get xp for using SOFLAM
>No xp for using shield or MP-APS

Me too.
Rushnoobs would ALWAYS cry in chat about how they ran out into fire and got killed.

Meanwhile the smart players are just chilling on a corner hold and enjoying the kills that just pour in.

Breaking the grinder was another level of satisfaction though

I know I'm a fucking pleb
it wasn't until BF4 came out that I actually played the other maps and used the vehicles

>Get behind enemy lines and place mines and generally try to fuck their shit up
>That satisfying feeling you get when your mines disable it and the engineer gets out to fix it
>Shooting him and commandeering his shit

>Enemy team starts using smoke launchers and grenades

Yeah, this was also always nice. Those times where you decided to go on a sneaking mission into the heart of the enemy chokehold, and succedeed in killing most of them, and then your retarded team just sits there and doesn't push in.

64p servers ruined this game, BF4 and probably every one after. Normies loved it cos MORE CHAOS IS BETTER XD!! but the maps aren't designed well for large numbers and it becomes a shitshow most of the time.

Getting a squad together with a few friends and having an actual impact on the game is a joy I'll never experience again.

>not getting all tacticool coordinated with your squad and culling mouthbreathers

doing it wrong

It's partially true. Its more to the fact that more people means that the map size has to expand to compensate the extra conflict that is going to occur. This space then requires transport that's where heavy armour comes into play the heavy armour then gains priority due to the developers or behind the scenes publishers thinking its a unique selling point for battlefield then all the maps need to be this way then become vehicle focused and completely detract the gunplay and play style as a whole.
Pic related.

Squad Rush got dumb on a lot of maps. Especially the ones where attackers start on a giant hill. There were always faggots that all went Recon and never pushed up so the game never ended.

after playing planetside 2 it's not that bad unless you're playing something other than conquest

64 map rush for example is definitely a huge clusterfuck

>tfw destroting a jet with an RPG at the beginning of a round

Yeah, I liked 3 over 4 too.

because my computer cant run it

>mfw i played so much bf3 that some nights i dream about it
it's like some kind of fun PTSD
it wasn't the perfect game but it was really fun

battlefield 1 was a mistake

I hope they make a game I actually want to play next time. 3 was my shit

>Be me
>Sit in a chopper together with a gun
>We hover outside the map
>We have an air truce with the enemy
>We shoot enemies at the ground at a distance where they can never hurt us
>We both easily score 100 kills and 0 deaths.

>more people means that the map size has to expand to compensate the extra conflict that is going to occur. This space then requires transport that's where heavy armour comes into play the heavy armour

except bf3 was notorious for having all flags clumped together right next to each other because consoles and MUH LONE WOLF shit dice was pushing since bf3.
it was never an issue in bf2, yes you needed vehicles and transport, but the whole combined arms stuff is what why people played battlefield in the first place instead of running around in a 50m square like in cod.
bf2 design fixed also one of the biggest issues in nu-battlefields: no more fronts. conquest after 3 is basically TDM and everybody running around like a headless chicken, if you want battle lines you need to play rush, but that again comes with own problems and only works half the time with vehicles.

that shit still worked in bf3, since the vast majority of players is retarded anyway.
>not locking down the waypoint on caspian and binding half the enemy team
>not holding out in a house in seine covering half the map and causing massive butthurt.

>mfw hardline had the best maps and modes out of all modern battlefields
>everybody started with a carbine and not their max level AR laser pointer so people whined about gunplay
>mfw it's dead

Glow stick.
